now days, without MESH, coverage sure like shit.
AX or AC are same shit to me.
invest in 3 pcs mesh better than buy new router

only if you bought cheapo router.
previously i need mesh to cover my upstair room.
now i changed to xiaomi ax9000 full coverage without mesh on 5G

i dont think tplink is lousy router
it depend on house size, partition and slab thickness.
if you wan to gamble with new router is up to you.
i prefer 3 node mesh rather super expensive router and yet not even know if it can penetrate my double story house but 3 story tall in size cool2.gif

semi d with 2 storey with built up 20' x 80'.
btw i never said tplink is lousy, i said cheapo router. even asus and linksys made cheap router.

well, im just rebuking your claim that any router without mesh sure coverage like shit.

Newer router focus on 5ghz for speed but 5ghz is crap for coverage if you had the router in one corner of the house.

Best if you could place the wifi router in the center of your house.

ths is true. i ask the tm technician to pull the fiber all the way to the middle of the house. now whole house including outside gate can get good coverage. only my back shed abit weak
