Even this is easy. You can put in RM3,000 and get back RM2,980 instantly, which is a "cost" of RM20. Worth it if you get an additional 1.6% returns per month with balance >RM50k.

It is easy/painless to open the account via the app and you can trade instantly.

I'm just wondering if it is mandatory to activate the debit card. I have received it - haven't activated yet. And as such I've yet to be charged the annual fee of RM20.

Has it been six months since you applied for Joy@Work? Do you actually have salary crediting in from your company, which matches the Joy@Work-registered company name? As I recall, Joy@Work "terminates" if no salary credit in 6 months from opening.

The rates will change, based on the campaign. So far, 6.85% is the best since the inception a few years ago. I've had the Smart Account ever since it was launched some years back.
