I've got something like 20 stars in about 4 weeks. Getting maybe 1 star each time I play. wtb free time. T_T

My style of gaming a bit different, so far I only play SMG less than 5 times, but each time, it takes me several hours. Thats why prefer playing on weekends.

I never have time for a long sitting. That's why I end up playing mini-game/level type things that I can just jump in and leave when I have to. I played Zelda forever until I managed to get a full weekend without work & wife and sat in front of the TV until I finished the game.

I believe the purple comets only come after you've defeated bowser for the first time.

OIC, so in order to get all 120 stars we have to fight with the last Bowser?

yes.

so in order to finish the game with 120 stars you will need to beat final bowser twice: the first time to unlock the purple comets, the 2nd time when you've gotten all 120 stars and want to finish the game to unlock luigi.

btw, have fun with Luigi's Purple Coins. master the jump+spin recovery and it should be no problem, but otherwise...

I was actually referring to that dastardly evil purple comet star where you have to run on platforms that either shrunk into nothingness or started flipping non-stop as you stepped on them, collecting a hundred of the 150 purple coins scattered all over the yellow and green platforms, arranged to form a pixel art of the original super mario bros luigi, and then run back to the starting point, presuming you remembered to leave enough platforms unshrunk for the journey back, to collect the newly appeared star.

Woot. Just got my Super Mario Galaxy. Just played through a few levels. Stupid sis wants to watch TV. Anyway. This is one great game. Definitely worth the money.

Oh, k..i also having hard time 2pass last time, but there's a technique 2get 100 out of 150stars (last time dunno, keep on dieing there)

Hi, at last, I got my copy of Super Mario Galaxy - Game of the Year 2007! Will start collecting stars this coming CNY holidays.

guys, wat do u think of the soundtrack of this game? u guys like it?

It's super awesome. Want the soundtrack CD, but available to club Nintendo members only Hopefully PA will have stock sometime soon.

Consider this: mario music that made it into Brawl are only up to New Super Mario Bros, and that upsets me.
