Thailand mango 'rainbow' nice leh

Mana orang jual R2E2 sampai begitu mahal. Tempat lain semua jual bawah < RM 6.00.

R2E2 = Apple Mango, rasa ada sedikit masam bila untuk bahagian isi hampir kepada biji. Yang bagus untuk buah ini, buahnya besar & isinya tebal.

So far i haven't bought any of them not sweet at all. even if its a little tart, leave it another few days, and its gong to be sweet.

The ester smell very unique & strong but the ripe fruit is too squishy / easily injured. The unripe fruit can be very sour.

The best one I had is from mbg. I think it was either from Pakistan or Bangladesh that area . Quite expensive .
For local ones that green thick skin, quite small but surprisingly good but cheap also

Nope, only the avoid excessive amount of consuming. Mango help in bowel movement , where got heaty. Heaty because the farmer / trader are using the carbide to artificially ripen the fruits.

But not always have.

If you haven't try, it is ok to spend to try it out. Some Village Grocer outlets got sell by weight /loose .

If you ask whether it is value for money? I'll say Thai's Farlan & Black Gold Mango can come quite close to Harumanis but selling at more affordable range.

Mango coming from Pakistan, India or Bangladesh taste above average.

Should be coming soon, due to in season, June- August period.

Price around RM 30+/kg for the Pakistani ones, India ones could be costlier.

Malaysia wan paling best. Harum Manis!

Aussie R2E2 also so so only.

If you like overly sweet, then India/Pakistan are the best.
Pretty expensive though.

R2E2 I think Australia one nicer, need to wait it to fully ripe.

Surprised no one mentioned golden waterlily, still affordable but hands down better than most rainbow susu r2e2 etc.

Water Lily for the smooth, unique fragrance kan. Black gold for the hit of sugar rush hahaha.

It tastes mild and the texture is juuust right. Not too fibrous, not too firm or sloppy.

Where to find black gold? Never see before.

I avoid buy those water lily la, thai mango at aeon la. Taste so so. Better buy road stall only.

The season should be around March to April . Usually you can find it at Econsave and NSK. The skin is dark green in color. This Black Gold is the sweetest mango so far I ever tasted. The succulent is red orange in color. There is hardly any sour taste, even the half ripe fruit tasted sweet. Because it is so sweet, the higher > the sweetness , the easier the fruit will get rotten. I suspect due to this issue, the Black Gold is no longer so popular among the farmer or traders due to short shelf lifespan.




The second photo was Black Gold, the staff wrongly put the naming as Chukanan, Chukanan more fibrous then Black Gold , less sweet compare to Black Gold.
