Has anyone tried purchase Knoxhult with removal of original top wooden worktop and replace with quartz surface?
I ask the IKEA salespersons, they ask me to go for metod which is 2 - 3x times expensive for base cabinet than whole Knoxhult cost. Knoxhult doesnt sell by parts like other kitchen series so it will comes as whole.
They doesn't have a concrete answer for me if Knoxhult can support Quartz surface.

For a cabinet to support stone countertop, you will need baseboard as its base before putting the stone counter. Knoxhult lacks the baseboard for stone counter installation. You can however consider customizing a solid wood top and put it on top of the existing countertop that comes with Knoxhult. It wont break your bank and provide sufficient durability for cooking.

I heard from one of the stone supplier said, still have to add on support base if Metod want to install stone top.

I just realised Metod also does not come with baseboard but I saw people just install stone counter directly on it. Perhaps it is more stable hence can be installed directly?

Perhaps it is more stable hence can be installed directly? IKEA will have external contractor to provide you the quartz stone. Not install direct from IKEA. For 2ft x 8ft is estimated with RM4K including installation. It would be same installation technique as outside vendor. Outside vendor will charge me quartz at RM1.5K incl installation and additional base board at RM80 per unit. I was asking IKEA staff, they said I can remove the tops for Knoxhult but they can't provide me if it is stable to have quartz on Knoxhult.

Installed quartz on mine and it's still working fine closing in on a year.
