Her crowd work isn't great either (from the few videos on her YouTube channel I tried to watch before watching that infamous clip) ... compared to Andrew Schulz (who will roast both sides of Dem and Rep, and when asking audience where they're from, he'll do the known stereotype of the nationalities, but then he'll ask more questions, like genuinely want to know more, not just make fun of the audience .. it's like he's trying to get all to laugh together, not just syok sendiri laugh one-sided at audience; but somehow, his materials deemed too risky for Netflix to buy as special (only got earlier Schulz Saves America 4 episode series), until he had to sell his INFAMOUS show direct to public ... maybe Netflix willing to defend more famous Dave Chapelle instead, who is a genius in his delivery (psa, Chapelle Show will leave Netflix end of this June)) ....

... err, what did I wanna say ... oh, that ex-Singaporean's stand up crowd work is like normal chit-chat with a group of people ... maybe it's ok for a small audience in the comedy club at that moment, but for playback views, not interesting. Her roastings and comebacks, not witty enuf.  Altho, some punchlines did get chuckles from me, e.g. Dubai, more like he buy; she seemed to be really punching down on Malaysia.

Female comedians can be both vulgar and funny at the same time, e.g. Ali Wong, Wanda Sykes, Whitney Cummings, Taylor Tomlinson, etc. .. and relatively more 'serious' type e.g. Hannah Gadsby, Tig Notaro ... ya, ya, I rely on Netflix a lot as stand ups sos. (oh, try watching Adrienne lapalucci ... just a short episode from Netflix The Degenerates collection ... deadpan dark humour hilarious).

Well, I would say she shouldn't make joke out of tragedy.

Still I agree with what you said, I don't understand ktards.. so if want to be something or someone, only good looking people should do it? If wanna be comedian, must be good looking? Not good looking people must not attempt to be something or achieve anything?

Or were they mean to say if Jocelyn Chia looked like young Angelina Jolie, she then can be excused for what she said?
