Hey guys, been reading this superbike thread for quite some time and i would like to ask if B2 license can ride Naza Blade 250r?
Since i saw Naza Blade is actually 249 cc, am i eligible to ride it legally, or do i still have to get B full license?

Is the Naza Blade 250 any good? When i watch videos of Blade 250 i notice there are some bad reviews on the engine, like engine easily rosak on youtube.

I like it because it's cheap and look very nice. Wanted to ride it while save up for a yamaha r6 or a honda cbr 600rr sad.gif or should i save up and wait up and go straight for 600cc range ?
I have 5 years biking experience (honda EX5) but worry i cannot handle the power of huge cc bikes, hence the 250cc ones(Naza Blade250)

Thanks for the help guys.

Guys, is it true that blade 250r 2012 is now 16k? Is it hard to maintain it and are there any shops who fixes it in case it has something wrong with it?

haha.....  ok...

Blade 250 uses a scale down version engine of Blade 650R.... Minus the water cooler...

It uses oil cooler....

As it uses V-Twin configuration, the sound mimics Ducati.... (Orgasm).... laugh.gif

Reliability ? Some Blade Rider had go up to the border of China.... and no prob...

Some go more than 100,000 km.... still okay....

Maybe coz of the Suzuki Inherited engine design....

Parts can be shared with Suzuki.... Example, piston can use Suzuki FX125's x 2.....

Torque is excellent.... Top Speed, more than 170 km/h..... on speedo...

New Blade uses efi.... So expect more fuel saving..... FC is also good for 250cc...

The "real" maker, Hyosung of Korea previously, used to assemble Suzuki bikes....

So they take engine design that is similar with SV650.... then they start making their own bikes...
Hyosung GT 250R (Blade 250R) is one of the best selling bikes in USA....

Also got warranty coverage.... SUffice to say, this bike is quite good... especially at that price.... laugh.gif
Wanna know more, ask me.... tired dy....  laugh.gif

Let's say if i wanna buy blade 250r 2012, can i buy it without any downpayment? What are the necessary steps, documents, or relevant things i need to prepare? maybe i should ask these question at Naza lol...
Would it be a better place for me to buy this bike at Naza, what do you think? feel very sayang ditching my ex5 for this bike sad.gif

Yes B2 can ride Naza Blade 250R/Ninja 250R/CBR 250R

I used to owned Naza Blade 250R for a good eleven months..clocking it more than 30,000km during that period..
i'm using the bike as mye daily transport, from buying foods, travel to class, meet up with friends, enjoying trackdays and others
never had any single major problem with the bike, especially the engine
Some minor smirks was a dead battery, a punctured tyre, a faulty fuel cock, faulty fuel sensor (for fuel gauge), and a burnt starter..all was easily repaired and i never left my bike at workshop more than a day..max was 4 hours
Not sure whether i'm lucky or what, but i'm quite strict with the maintenance..
I bought the bike 2nd hand, a 2009 red and black colored model..
I never had any experience with any kind of bike, be it kapcai or scooter or anything..the only time i handle a bike was when i'm taking my B2 license..when i bought the bike i bring my friend who owned a superbike along to Penang, where the bike resides, and my friend rode the bike home to KL while i drove my car..i rode the bike after it's in KL, and i rode only by simple guides from my friend like how to brake, corner and stuff
250cc is not that really big chunks of power, it is still manageable for newbies  biggrin.gif
*
Wow.. so you have to push all the way to the workshop? It'd be shit for me if the bike ever break down because i live at kelana jaya and i travel to work everyday to damansara heights. Quite a far distance i must say, if it have a punctured tire, dead battery, i'd be f***ed lol...

They said that PC5 for Blade 250R is still under developement.... f*** Yeah!

Go for it..... I'll be staying in KL in next few month... we can meet....  laugh.gif

What is a dynojet? Is it some sort of tuner system for 250r? Regarding tuning, are there alot of parts to tune or swap with when it comes to Blade 250r?

Dude, wanna ask some more questions regarding 250 bikes.

Let's say, i want to change the tailpipe/exhaust pipe, does it affect the power output/speed of the bike? Or do i have to change the whole manifold?

After changing the exhaust pipe, do i have to remap(re-jet?) the ecu(dunno if this is what you call on a bike) and stuff?

Does the sprocket (chain?) affects the rate of wheel turning thus affecting the speed of the bike in terms of pickup speed and top speed?

Normally where you guys go out look and scout for bikes? Is it Naza? Read a lot of complaints and bad experiences when dealing with Naza from other post and forums though...

Any TTS anytime soon? maybe can ask more question and hear more reviews/knowledge/stuffs regarding bikes at TTS lol...

For me, I scout on every single big bike shop in Penang / Kedah.... Even KTM, BMW Penang also I scout.... Just love bikes... so go ronda-ronda....

250cc bikers ? try /k/bikers club.... they may help you...

But if you go for speed, better one shot straight away go for Blade 650R.... Quite cheap...

Such a waste, if u buy 250cc then buy bikes like ER6 or Blade 650R....

cause 250cc power is not that much... if u can manage kapchai, u can manage 250cc....

For Blade 650R, just try to ride it slowly at first, adapt ur riding style based on ur confidence level....  laugh.gif

One of the reason i chose 250 is because my experience with clutched bikes are very little (rode twice on clutched bikes only).
The other reason is i don't know whether i can control the power of a 600cc bike or not.
Third reason would be i don't think i can manage a 600cc bike financially yet. Buying is one thing, but managing it is another whole different thing already sad.gif
Fourth reason is, now dont really have the time to go retake B license yet lol. Everyday busy with my advertising job haha.

Aiya, ride the 250 ones first lo.. no rush lol... wait till i am familiar with a clutched bike and the way to maintain and control clutched bike first then only go for 600cc one lo..
At least 250cc are faster than my EX5 i guess lol... wanted the extra oomph when i go home early in the morning ( i go home after work normally at around 3-4 in the morning, sometimes 5-6, most of the time
will see a white r6/r1 zoom past me during that time, damn fast! )

a woman? on teh intenet?

biggrin.gif

jokes aside, i had let my bike slippped and it fell a few weeks after i bought it

damn, i tell you - it's hard work to upright the bike. even with proper techniques as seen in youtube

i guess you have to practise and practise. unfortunatelly, bike school never teaches how...
1. go straight to a 650cc bike. i have no experience with clutch bike, but i did well after 1 week (electric starter helps with covering up your mistakes wink.gif)

2. cost to manage the bike is pleasantly affordable - for a 2 cylinder that is - rm 110 for an oil change. another rm 30 for a can of chain spray (which may last you for > 1 yr)

3. control the bike? just take it slow and always remember the rookie mistake - handle lock. don't be a mat rempit liao

these are my experience as a newbie for the past 2 months +. still a newbie. only got to 130+km/h before kaki jadi lembut liao. wind too strong

how long is your frequencey of riding? Do you use it only on weekends or everyday? How about travelling distance and what kind of oil do you use?
How much petrol do you pump everytime? Sorry for so much questions lol.

IMHO, the Ninja250 is a bit overpriced at 25k, new

A ER6-n is only 9-10k more, and has 3x HP, and commands better presence than the 250

A Blade650 is around 25k, new. It's basically a Hyosung, and shouldn't have any problem with parts & maintenance

Insurance will kill you? My insurance was just RM 800+ (written on the insurance cover note) with all rider option. It's still affordable, and will nowhere kill you

Road tax is RM250 in semenanjung, but ours is only RM 40 - but keep in mind, we get lousy roads

hmmmn... i see
let me think and plan some more see how sad.gif
Right now just scouting and planning stage though... but still havent found any shops that sells these kinda bikes yet though.. not familiar with KL roads T.T
