just had my first oil change service. broke her virginity already at 1,000km.

2L of Top 1 Oil Action Plus 10w-40

RM 25/L x 2L = RM 50

filter + labor + oil = RM 105 + free 100 plus drink.

dunno suitable oil or not, 10w-40?

i noticed 15w-50 is more expensive? why? usually, it's the other way round.

motul 15w-50 costs rm50/L (!) and Top1 is RM 36/L.
*
Congrats thumbup.gif
For my Blade i used only Agip Semi 10w-40, cost me rm23/L x 2 L+Oil filter rm13+ labour rm15...good EO i must say since i never had any engine problem for the span of 3x,000km riding on it...
For Ninja, since i used it only for a month so managed to service once only, using Maxima Semi 10w-40 rm48/L x 2L(buy from shop sweat.gif ) + oil filter rm24 + labour rm20..good EO also, gear changes very smooth..
For my current R1 i'm using Silkolene Semi 10w-40 35/L x 4L + oil filter rm 65+ labour rm60 rclxub.gif

Because i bring the oil on my own..haha..tak sangka pulak kena cekik darah..i tot kena caj like rm20 only..
Nevermind lah thats gonna be the first and last time i do my service there..

Hey guys, been reading this superbike thread for quite some time and i would like to ask if B2 license can ride Naza Blade 250r?
Since i saw Naza Blade is actually 249 cc, am i eligible to ride it legally, or do i still have to get B full license?

Is the Naza Blade 250 any good? When i watch videos of Blade 250 i notice there are some bad reviews on the engine, like engine easily rosak on youtube.

I like it because it's cheap and look very nice. Wanted to ride it while save up for a yamaha r6 or a honda cbr 600rr sad.gif or should i save up and wait up and go straight for 600cc range ?
I have 5 years biking experience (honda EX5) but worry i cannot handle the power of huge cc bikes, hence the 250cc ones(Naza Blade250)

Thanks for the help guys.
*
Yes B2 can ride Naza Blade 250R/Ninja 250R/CBR 250R

I used to owned Naza Blade 250R for a good eleven months..clocking it more than 30,000km during that period..
i'm using the bike as mye daily transport, from buying foods, travel to class, meet up with friends, enjoying trackdays and others
never had any single major problem with the bike, especially the engine
Some minor smirks was a dead battery, a punctured tyre, a faulty fuel cock, faulty fuel sensor (for fuel gauge), and a burnt starter..all was easily repaired and i never left my bike at workshop more than a day..max was 4 hours
Not sure whether i'm lucky or what, but i'm quite strict with the maintenance..
I bought the bike 2nd hand, a 2009 red and black colored model..
I never had any experience with any kind of bike, be it kapcai or scooter or anything..the only time i handle a bike was when i'm taking my B2 license..when i bought the bike i bring my friend who owned a superbike along to Penang, where the bike resides, and my friend rode the bike home to KL while i drove my car..i rode the bike after it's in KL, and i rode only by simple guides from my friend like how to brake, corner and stuff
250cc is not that really big chunks of power, it is still manageable for newbies biggrin.gif

All the liter bikes are scary.

I have hit 145km/h on the first gear before. Torque is awesome can cruise on most gears.
*
Riding a litre bike is like riding a bike with a D gear at all gear laugh.gif ..all gear can reach 100km+

QUOTE(sanosizo @ May 15 2012, 01:57 PM)
I saw 1 youtube video of a gixxer hitting 160kmh on first gear. WTF, I cruise at 160kmh on 6th gear.
*
same with my friend's R1, hit about 165km/h in first gear
me still sayang my bike, reach 70km/h quickly change to 2nd gear

Wow.. so you have to push all the way to the workshop? It'd be shit for me if the bike ever break down because i live at kelana jaya and i travel to work everyday to damansara heights. Quite a far distance i must say, if it have a punctured tire, dead battery, i'd be f***ed lol...
*
no lah...push start the bike tongue.gif
after that straight to my mechanic's place and change battery..15 minutes kawtim
punctured tire happened to me when i was travelling to Kedah..i actually went to Langkawi, so left the bike at jetty parking for few days..when balik suddenly tayar pancit edi, got 2 nails on it..
it's Sunday, so no shop open (what i thought that time, i forgot in Kedah sunday is a working day), so slow2 ride to nearest Shell, pump air until full and rode back to KL..stopped by at any R&R that have petrol pump to refill air..
Reach KL, on Monday straight tampal the punctured section

I travel everyday from Pj-Gombak, 30km+ one way, u should join the other guys who owned Blade, save their number so at least u know u got backups..

whatever people said on taking 650 or 600 above ignore it.trust me.ride 250 first.u cant handle the power trust me.if u miss pop the clutch? yesss u can ride the 650 bike after 1-2 weeks trying.yes YOU CAN RIDE IT, but in EMERGENCY situation? can u handle the weight? the brakes? which one? the front how many percent the back how many percent? depends on the road conditions is it wet? your tire. see lot of things need to consider. pls pls do start with 250cc. ride it for 3-4 years.get experience.your reflex is very important. if ride 1000cc the bike can move the engine dont mati doesnt mean u can ride it. nowadays its easy to see and get big bikes otr since kawasaki ckd the er6 models. thats why we see lots of new people talk here there.pls pls dont listen.and pls DONT BUY NAZA BIKES OR ANY CHINA BIKES.go for japan brand. starts with 250 and SCRAMBLER.why? because of the height.u will learn to overcome the gayat.then scrambler is heavy even for 250.thus u'll get use when u ride bigger bikes in 4 years time.dont go for cbr250 or ninja250 pls.waste.why? because it feels exactly like rxz with more power.u dont feel like riding big bikes at all.and please when u get ur 250 DONT EVER CHANGE ANYTHING, SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR BIGGER BIKES IN 4-5 YEARS.be patient trust me.its worth it.how far can u go with akrapovic or termig or 2 brothers on a 250cc? anything pm me.i can help u.

my history -2006-2008 klx250r
                2008-now zrx1200r
                2009-now bmwr1200c
                2010-now bmw1200r
                2011-now honda cb1100
and yes i still have all of it.trust me.follow my footstep.be like me.insyaallah

not the bikes selling at nazas sorry not explaining further.its the blade or the 650r.those are actually hyosung, korean bike. they are very new to the market adn motor industry compared to kawasaki and honda which had been use since world war 2.thus they have more experience.hyosungs finishing and welding. there's also reports on the jet problem.when the bike is put in fourth or fifth gear it bogs way down. it also seems to have an acceleration issue. cheap parts, gas tank leaks.

BUT yes it has a sweet v twin for 250cc bike.yes the vtwin sound, the power.do you think on the mantainance part of vtwin? damn.hardest engine and expensive to maintain sad.gif hard to find stuff.you cant DIY it urself at home.
IF u wana use the bike for 2-3 years then go ahead.everything that matters now is the durability.can the bike last 5 yrs? 10 yrs? have u seen hyosung with that age otr WITHOUT PROBLEMS? if u are a true bike lover, true bikers and riders,u will keep ur bikes as though they are alive and ur friends.buy bike that can stay with u for 10yrs.perharps ur kid can use it 1 day.kawasaki x7,my dads bike when 1978 still have it in johor bahru now no problem at all.go for kawasaki, honda etc.trust me.u'll never regret smile.gif
*
Naza is a new player in the industry, the oldest Naza bikes still haven't reach 10 years
I'm an ex-owner of Naza Blade 250R, and I never regret choosing it as my first 250cc bike
When I sold my first Blade which I've clocked more than 30,000km in less than a year (including Trackdays) WITHOUT any single problem, I kinda regret it..That's why after 6 months selling the bike, I bought another Naza Blade 250R
Mind you all bike that i've bought is 2nd hand bike so I never know how the previous owner took care of it
After a happy 6 months and 2x trackdays, I sold the bike to experience the hype of Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Sadly I only owned it for a month, then sold it off..the bike has no soul, the design is nice but i think it lacks identity..there's no bad thing I can say about this small Kawa except for it's outdated analog cluster, and expensive spare parts..

For me Naza Blade is a great beginner bike, I took the risk 2 years ago and I never regret it one bit
If i have extra dough I'll buy back a Blade in a heartbeat smile.gif

dont have soul.why? because its inline 4.same goes to ducati riders.one they try it they love, due to the v engine.dont ever compare inline 4 bikes with v twin bikes.the heart is totally different.the power delivery and all.im just pointing out the DURABILITY.out of 10 hyosung how many do QC were in perfect level? maybe yes u are lucky u get the good one.but what about the other 9 users? my cousin bought one,use it for 1 week only ride to school, leakin tank.my uncle bought 1 for 1 year, acceleration prob.my frnd use one brake prob.its all about statistic and probability.kawasaki and other japan bikes still can be seen otr now.for zx250r.its a great bike, the only prob is when the rider kacau it and do not admit it.biasalah budak muda, ikut kawan, tatau pasal moto.tune sana tune sini, jetting sana jetting sini.tuka sana tuka sini.then when got prob send to shop, then dont mengaku.very normal laa this thing.happens to Bmw bikes also. 1 more thing is.fast is no important.CAN U HANDLE THE BIKE IN EMERGENCY is important.yes u can take corner at 200km/h so? at the end of the day, reason why u ride bikes is because u wana enjoy it.take cruise.easily.wana layan corner laju, buy sport bike 600cc above.go sepang.change to track tires.then go ahead take 160 lap.use brain.dont think we can take corner or ride fast we are good.if they is oil spill by lorry otr what u do? 250bikes dont have abs(except honda cbr250) what we do? rear break? front break? how many percent? body posture? pressure on the handle? see not many people know this.they only ride because others do and when kawasaki starts ckd ing their bikes. experience.reflex.brain. = bikers
*
Kawasaki Ninja 250R is inline 2 tongue.gif
Yeah no doubt Naza has their drawbacks, but most of them was from the early batch
New batches from 2008 onwards and the latest EFI do't have much problem, only minor stuff that is easily replaceable
The only hiccup from Blade EFI is the throttle/clutch cable(not sure which one) will easily snap during first 5000km...bring it to Naza they replace it FOC
As for Ninja, I never heard any bad things about it since it debut in 2008, but the recent EFI model is very famous with VDS problem, i think 9 out of 10 people who owned Ninja EFI experiencing this problem
The bike suddenly shuts off automatically when speeding...it's very dangerous and serious problem i must say
Kawasaki QC really drops this time..and i think it's an overpriced 250cc..

budget roughly 8k or slightly higher up to 9k max.

thus, this rs125 catches my eye. But then, its already old being a 97 model. Parts are going to be expensive as you said.

bro, saw some blade 250n on mudah, does the 08 model already EFI or carburator? Im sorry for asking la, since I know shit about Blade.

tell u the truth, I like Blade with fairings. Naked dont go well with me since Im the chubby type. LOL

but fairing-ed Blade 250 quite expensive, cheapest is 10k cash. sweat.gif

Im 5' 4" (165cm), I think ok la on blade 250 eh? hmm.gif

sat on friend Kawa 250RSE, with stand, flat-footed on left foot. But with no stand, tip-toeing on both legs. LOL
was lurking around MBC, and found one ad, 650R for sale. Converted to 1098 Ducati exterior wise. Damn good looking. Only thing that gave away its not a real Duc is the frame and swing-arm. And over excessively shiny twin tailpipe. tongue.gif
*
I bought my 2nd unit Blade 250R for rm7,500..but need to service the tank as it is rusted inside..previous owner didn't rode it more than a year
After that sell for rm9k biggrin.gif
I think u can get rm9k for Blade 250R, but need to scout around maybe 07/08 model..some owners whose in urgent need of cash might consider to go as low as rm9k..

for ff helmet, you can find DOT and ECER certified for around rm200+. but those are from china brands (MHR, LS2)

but don't look down on them, even the china brand HJC (starting from rm300+) is used by Ben Spies (his replica helmet is avalaible, and is made in taiwan for rm 1,000+)
the most significant differences between a 200+ and 800+ or even 2,000+ helmets are the level of comfort

weight - the lighter it is, the better for your neck and shoulders
liners - washable, comfortable, climacool, bla bla bla
vents - many many vents
noise - very low noise intrusion
visor - anti fog, anti scracth, built in sun visor, pin lock, etc etc
design & shape - comfort (internal) & aerodynamics (external) and also look (overall)
Bell is mid range price, just like Nola, AGV, and some other european brands (bar Schuberth or X-Lite). Prices range from 700 - 1,000+

the expensive ones are from japanes manufacturers - arai & schoei. cheapest ff also 1,800+.

design wise, of cos arai & shoei is a class above the rest. but that is just my personal experience lar

i only get a mid range price ff helmet to be used every day. why buy 2k helmet if you go to pasar have to put the expensive helmet at the counter, and risk it get scratched (or worse, stolen?)
*
i'm using a SOL 48S since the day i started biking laugh.gif
i'm using my bike everyday same like u so I opted for something not so expensive but still meet the international safety standard
i never use balaclava or head cover, so the internal part smelly kaw2, washed it once a month and if doesn't look good anymore i'll change it
only rm60 for all internal cushion part biggrin.gif
but the wind noise is unbearable above 200km/h..now looking at either AGV or Nolan..
