Based on current rate, stock 06 R1 shall be around USD6k-6.5k.

Say for brand new, 2010 R1 is around USD16k and USD18.5k for SE model. No LE and still no 2012 model liao..

There are few unit unsold brand new 2010 ZX10 for only USD12-13k. SS1000RR 2012 is around USD21k and latest RC8R for USD23k. I went to honda for new 1000CBR and they quote me around USD19k.

All price +/- excluding insurance and registration. Need to add about USD1.5k for OTR.

97 RON is only RM.085/liter shakehead.gif
*
hmph judging by that, i believe my place is a lil cheaper laugh.gif

a 08 rabbit ~US$8k

09 Gixxer ~US$7k

09 R6 ~US$7.5k

lesser european bikes like the SS1000RR (my super dream bike drool.gif ) there's ducati around thou..

say for the whole new 2012 ZX10R, US$15k quoted here..

ur OTR price is so damn expensive gosh, here bikes doesnt need insurance, registration cost $50 lol.. road tax for >250cc bike, u wont believe how much it is hahaha... $2 cool2.gif

fuel is expensive here 97 RON ~US$1.40, oil prices fluctuates here according to global fuel prices..

thanks. i'm just very glad that i didn't get any injury. and better yet, no scratches at all, seeing how violent the fall was and how far me and the bike slid...

need to scout around for new gloves now...

Dainese jacket is replica - made in Vietnam. Use it for daily rides, quality of the materials and zippers have me protected coming to 1 year already. Trying to locate the factory/bulk for this jacket over at Vietnam - but nobody seems to know who the supplier is in Vietnam. Wanted to see what other stuffs they make...

kapalterbang_737 - price listed in SGD is purchased there and hand carried back. Prices in SG is indeed cheaper only at certain places. Brands like Dainese is quite standard between here, HK and SG as I have seen. For Alpinestars, I can vouch that SG is cheaper. SG Helmets on the other hand is definitely cheaper and much choices for you to choose from. A riding mate just picked up a new Arai Doohan TT RX7RR5 for SGD800. If you happen to be there or plan to go SG, I suggest you budget your shopping list otherwise will be like me - impulse buy and want to buy almost everything!

More drool on Arai helmets during my recent trip to HK

Burnt another hole in my pocket there as I picked up a helmet & visors on sale there...

Feel sorry about what happened to you.

As others mentioned, get your bike fully protected with frame slider, from front to rear. At least can minimized the damaged to the bike. Most important, you are okay now.

Body parts can be repaired if only scratched or cracked. Most paint shop can do at cheap cost. For handle bar, depends how much it bend. Not advisable to re-straightened. Better get a new or aftermarket set like Rizoma  brows.gif Same to tank, can be touch up. Not to worry.

Actually It is good to wear high quality race glove. Built safe not only during slide but also for impact. Safe ride always bro..

where on earth you are staying now?

Comprehensive insurance is compulsory for new purchased bike. For used bike, 3rd party will cost usd100. But at the end, petrol is cheaper than a liter of drinking water  rclxub.gif

Cambodia rolleyes.gif insurance is not compulsory here, its optional laugh.gif

S1000RR .... ooohhhhh .... nice but the maintenance is much higher so I won't consider in fact ZX10R - 2012 can consider ... power and comes with traction control plus power mode. I tried my friend's ZX10R - 2012 nice and handling's great.  nod.gif
*
no doubt that the new ZX10R is really really appealing.. looks wise power wise actually everything of it is better than all of its predecessor laugh.gif overall thumbup.gif

but i'll still stick to my S1000RR until i hands on the new ZX10R..

Guys, I have a serious problem after the accident...

I feel the bike acceleration is too slow, and suspected something wrong with the engine or transmission

So I went for a straight line test on a safe road, and took the time to go from 0-100km/h

it goes to 100km/h from a standstill in about 5 sec w/o any hiccups, which is what it should supposed to be, according to the brochure

but it feels VERY SLOW to me now

does it mean it's time for me to upgrade to a liter sportsbike?

please help. serious problem...

Rough estimate about RM80-95k depending on what accessories is thrown in.

ah i see.. thanks.. my friend is selling one at rm100k.. so thinking whether its a good buy or not, not sure what accessories are thrown in, all i know is a full Arrow system exhaust.. will inquire more tongue.gif

by the way guys, asking sth about a helmet, just got my Shoei RF-1100 helmet ytd, tried it on, yes very snug fit.. but problem is its kind of pain at the crown area (the skull right above the ear) where my skull is directly touching the inner shell of the helmet.. the hard part without any padding.. if u guys understand where im referring to laugh.gif anyone facing this when getting a snug helmet as well? yet to try it on for a ride.. will do it this evening and see how bearable the pain is.. afraid that the pain is there and will compromise riding comfortability..

then the helmet is not the right size or fir for your head.

get a snug, but comfortable helmet

using helmet that cause you pain may distract you from focusing during riding, and may cause accident

worse, if it restricts blood flow and you can pass out when riding long distance
*
its snug, but not comfortable shakehead.gif argh man guess Shoei just dont fit my head size.. i tried on the Shoei X-12 feels ok still and the crown of my head wont touch the inner shell.. wonder why RF-1100 so different from X-12 in terms of sizing doh.gif

so i just brought it out for an hour ride, really tak boleh tahan the pain caused to the crown area on my head.. after that really feel cant focus on ride anymore.. sad case cry.gif

anyone interested in my Shoei RF-1100 Merciless helmet? Size L, as good as new only half hour usage laugh.gif

anyone knows how much does it cost for a brand new one in msia? mine i got it from the states for $549.99 including shipping charges.. just wondering how much should i price it wink.gif

damn... rm2k helmet u have to let go just like that only... the risk of buying online w/o trying it onn first

i bought mine last month (from local online retailer) and was very relieved when it fits like a glove the 1st time...
depends on many factors - your bike size, riding type and budget

yeah man... very sad! u see.. there's very limited bike accessories in my place.. thus the limited range of things i can try on also.. thats why every online purchase is a gamble rclxub.gif like what i did on my Shoei sweat.gif

i was really really hoping it could fit like a condom but too bad..
