Dave deserves his testimonial. It is definitely the only match I’m surely watching in the coming months and years.

I can’t stop thinking how many effing times that De Gea was screwed by Cap. with his bumbling nonsense. Everyone, not least Dave looked like a clown with him “leading” the line. Lindelof, AWB, Shaw, even Bailey. cempedaklife liked this post

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Jul 9 2023, 12:24 PM) in the original days, a testimonial is given for the player whereby the gate proceeds goes to his retirement fund aka pocket. Those days the salary is low and it makes a difference to them financially. Now, as both those players are millionaires by now, I'm pretty sure they will donate the proceeds anyway. So, I think sharing a testimonial is low class below low for MUFC. |

QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Jul 10 2023, 09:23 PM) That's why as soon as the transfer market is open, he directly tells the board to let go 11+ish players, even the beloved captain. And then the armband. I’m really curious how you know the first part. Cos nothing appears as you know. Right now it looks like he plans to start the season with everyone else as of last season except DDG, which is a shame because there are easily 10 worse players than him. In DDG case, I believe he already told the board not to sign him, but the board is like the sentimental folks who can't move on. The second part is obvious when contract not offered and we get the infamous emoji. |

QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Jul 11 2023, 09:14 AM) Bro, not to argue with you. But in this day and age. There is no such thing as reliable "news" other than a select few (The "Fabrizio Romanos" of the journalist world). Other than that I'd say we believe what we want to believe, hear what we want to hear, and constantly have confirmation bias. Its all over the news back in May, Harry Kane has already bought a house in Manchester next to Kim Min Jae, and they both also married new Manchester wives. Even then no one really knows the plans of ETH which are in his own head except through interviews. I do not, recall him saying too much about selling players (please correct me by pointing me to the actual interview), in fact he defends DDG as one of the best even until the end. This fella keeps his cards very close to his chest. Casemiro, Licha, Antony, all appeared out of nowhere. I just find it very funny (No offense) that we are all putting words in his mouth, and have a jolly time doing syok sendiri FM'ing. Back to reality. Pre-season about to begin, and I am still seeing many dead wood turning up for their paychecks. I don't want to blame the 1 year old coach. I know he does what he can, and contracts are contracts. What I can say is going to happen is we better wait until ALL dead wood contracts are up before they are replaced, and that will take 3-5 years. This is probably the length of ETH contract too lol, so in the end we may end up with no Erik and no dead wood. Welcome to Manchester. |

QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Jul 11 2023, 11:50 AM) Sure, we can agree to disagree. sure can, afterall nothing really gained from following football club except emotional investment. But are you against me saying that DDG case was not EtH fault? I was merely answering to other people's accusation, like you said also by hearsay by the DDG-romantics. I was sharing my hearsays with other people's hearsays. Can we all just agree it's the board/Glazers fault and move on from DDG sob story? I want to just say we are throwing our best piece of junk out of the boat, and still got a lot of dead weight. I am not sure what this fault finding is good for though. EightPhantomz liked this post

Onana looks to be settling his final inter affairs and farewells. We kinda need a proven GK.

QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Jul 14 2023, 10:27 AM) no prob with him staying at all.. just scare the performance not the same as last time. after all he 2 years no sepak bola liao... still need to buy a striker with him staying or not.. problem is masial keep injured.. and now injured cant sell him. he needs to be assessed of course. If he stays I'm assuming ETH and team is satisfied he is close or has a path to peak performance....Just for sure wasted 2 years of competitive development.Masial also gonna leech the club and play 10 matches a season until contract over, this is a pattern with MUFC. |

We are heading into the unknown. GK is really a position of intense scrutiny at United and we’ve had our fair share of under performers to say the least. The important thing is the ruthlessness of ETH to remove the player if he under performs and quickly find another solution. Think Carroll, Tim Howard and not just the Taibi’s. Even prodigies like Ben Foster. Fergie and other modern EPL winning teams have always quickly switched goalkeepers, Liverpool and City has done it smartly and ruthlessly as needed. Nothing ever really guarantees a player is ready to keep sticks at United, unless maybe if your name ends with Neuer and starts with Manuel. It’s the ability to change that is important here. Need to back ETH. I’m only dismayed at the pace of replacement for our striking department. Every single title contender has upgraded their defence. How on earth are we starting the season with a weaker / same offence and expecting to score more (we have to, other top 4 is out of the question). It’s just lazy and low desire from the owners here.

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Jul 20 2023, 01:43 PM) Valencia was very good for us. I will say he was a multi talent la....winger was one trick but repurpose as RB, I think he was right up there with Gary Neville.Yes he is a one trick pony. But it was a very good trick which carried him far. Like Robben, who is also a one trick pony. Most importantly he was effective. Nani didn't live up to the lofty expectations, just fell a little short. Anderson was unfortunate, he came at a time in the PL where every club wanted to convert a young number 10 into a deep lying midfielder. See Obi Mikel and Lucas Levia. |

QUOTE(statikinetic @ Jul 20 2023, 03:59 PM) He was an effective RB because his talent generally allowed him to get to the outside and cross with his right foot. Gary Neville was a good RB in a great team. I would say Neville's greatest advantage was consistency. Never a world class player, just someone who got the job done. Evra on the other flank was much better by comparison. Tonio was also damn consistent as RB....its a strength for him. Yes, Evra was properly World class, you can count on him to do the wow. |

If we got mbappe I guarantee you 25 goals and above. Will place us up in 2nd at least. Who cares about his prima Donna ness. I’ll sell my kidney for him. Come to think of it, if Neymar was less injury prone I’d take him in a heartbeat too. Such is the barrenness of our squad up top.

QUOTE(even_steven @ Jul 24 2023, 12:33 AM) This one toxic level same as Pogba ni. Not worth the headache for managers. He already set his sight to Real Madrid. Just like Pogba to Juve last time. The equivalent of a one night stand. Don't need life long marriage, just need one time possess.Even if Al-Hilal allow him to leave after next season to Real Madrid, I got the feeling that he will reject the offer. One main reason, is if that happens, Madrid will have to BUY him instead of getting him for free. And the price won't be cheap as well. Not to mention, there might be a sign on bonus for him to sign for RM for free as well. It looks like PSG might have a losing battle here. |
