One of the tin is dented even though everything is fully bubble wrapped.
Claimed and got my refund. No issue. 👍

I wonder I'd the seller gets compensation from the courier company or seller ownself absorb the cost

One time I bought a bulk of snacks. Couple items missing and the box seems tampered. Told seller and we both suspect the courier side. Seller ask if still can give full star but they will refund the missing items by direct bank in. I just agree at that time but yeah

think if seller can show video proof of packing undented tin before sealing package then the courier should bear the transportation

Seller can claim from courier but it will be no ending perhaps. Courier can claim that the wrapping is inadequate blah blah blah. The amount of compensation will determine if seller think it worth claiming for. Losing customers is more difficult to recover and argument can spread bad news for the seller.

In my case the customer is not involved in any argument.
If there is any, it is between the seller and courier.
The customer got the refund, so the seller didn't lose the customer.

This seller has sold many thousands of the same product.
If the seller is handling hundreds of packages everyday when got time to individually video record every single package?

I had my purchase from tik tok refunded and at the same time received the perfume bottle. I ask for refund after it was delayed and after a system delivery extension it was delivered just a few hours passed the extended time.

in fact it was delivered within the extended time frame but the incompetent courier update it late into the system.

I'm happy to take both the refund and the parcel. the way I see it, I play by their set rules. Sometime you lose (warranty issue bla bla bla), but sometime you win.

I believed some are purposely dented to declare a lower value for importation.

I bought milo gao kosong from a few sellers before and guess what, each and every tin has a dent on the side. This is not new. Even in steel industry, there are people who do these "workaround" to declare a lower value for the product that they wish to import. For example, some would cut a decent hole on each of the 4 corners or even weld something onto the plate. This would allow them to import them as scrap which is subjected to lower import duty as well as a lower value. Dont ask me if it is worth doing, and there is obviously enough demand for them to do these sort of things.

I bought a PC case from a well known seller which famously had issues with /k last time.
Received a dented case. Then I talked to them over LZD chat, agreed that I raise a return while I make another same order.
Mana tahu seller raised dispute during refund and blaming the logistic. They posted photo evidence that the item was in well condition before shipping out.
I caught the seller use my second order as photo evidence because the label locations, the wrapping are different with the dented PC case box.

Then I have to post the real photos to expose seller's intention to blame LZD courier.

Contamination

During MCO bought promo sport shoe via Shopee.

Receive parcel with slippers only, box seems to be dented.

Able to claim from shopee as deliver wrong item lo, send back to nearby JnT and got refund.

my case : Bless the seller

two 10 kg barbells arrived late
a few days later, money credited into account
chatted 1st time with seller
he said no need return money
he's into new business

Can't remember, I received a dented heatsink and box and they show they have a recording of the box in good condition with my packing list.

Something like that. I guessed the courier damaged their parcel too many times.

Yup my wife only likes the original and the wasabi.

Mine is worse, pets canned food dented got maggots everywhere inside the parcel. Seller asked me to clean them, fark them up, I just throw the parcel away, until now Shopee doesn't want refund me.

They said I should return the parcel with maggots to their office, how stupid can they be. End kena burn like this.

It's really hard to decide. Let's say I bought one, and even seller was genuine, somehow mine got dented after delivered.

Usually if I bought only one from the shop for the first time, it's dented.. I'll check with the seller.

If seller seem genuine, usually I'll just take it.. and if I like the product, I'll order again. From there, I'll know.. if 2nd order also dented, then will completely stop.

It still depends on the item, if food inside should be fine/protected and no leaking.. I think can accept lah for once. But for phone case, even if one dented, right away request refund.

I think Shopee/Lazada also keeps track on the customer, if same person want to refund for small things frequently.. in future, any serious or expensive claim, it'll be tough because return rate is high.

If just a dent, what contamination u talking about? If dented till got hole then different story la.

Lazada refund is better than shopee refund.

Shopee refund must return.
Lazada refund depends one, may not need to return.

It wont be contaminated. Thats why i said fussy ppl shouldnt buy stuff online. If just because of a tiny leak u reject it, my as well dont buy online.

some of the dent weaken the integrity of the can and allow the O2 to enter into the can, thus making the food spoilt easily.

Unfortunately for food, if you are seller, you have to be more careful because customer is more fussy on food

confirm not that seller I dealt with.

I received broken item. It was unlikely the seller sent broken one and so it was courier fault.

I claimed Refund and was approved in short time. I guessed the seller gave approval to Shopee. The goods was in bubble pouch and then wrapped again with bubble sheet. The main problem was the outer box which is not really a box but shabby sheet of cardboard cut from a box. It was used as outer wrap.

I returned the good the next day and after 2 days the seller raised dispute to Shopee, claiming that they did not receive the returned good. Shopee did investigation asking me to give photo of package. I told Shopee that they should have asked for it before I returned the goods as I was wrapping it the way I received it.

A day or two later Shopee wanted mo to confirmed the number of items received. After about a week only I get my refund. Just like bank of any business, customer become victim in dispute between other parties. I was waiting for the refund to make purchase from different seller but by the time I got the refund, the item I wanted was no longer in stock
