of course... when you use *ahem* versions... all you need is one file wrongly copied... and there goes the system.

seriously dudes, restoring a computer system, using an unreliable source isn't a good idea.

normally, when someone buys a used Mac, I'd recommend the original restore discs are included, for this reason.

if the discs are lost, then ask for a discount. smile.gif

well. in your case, you should upgrade RAM to at least 768 before upgrading to Tiger. I've run Tiger on 256MB RAM, and it wasn't fun.

if you can't do that, then try to run 10.3 (Panther) which is quite quick on anything above 256MB, even at 700MHz
