Aramid case arrived.
- Phone can fully close (no issue)
- Thickness is the same as the stock Razr case
- Chose the back plate which shows the M logo and razr branding (you can buy the fully enclosed back). I did this so friends won't keep asking me what phone I am using. They always think it's a Galaxy Z Flip phone.

The case is great I bought one also just that the front one dont actually have a thicker lip to protect the front screen. Anyway come back to ones choice right

Are you referring to the small display or big display? The small display is protected. The camera lens is not going above  the case.
If you are referring to the big 6.9 inch display, then this is EXACTLY what I am talking about. There should NOT be a thicker lip to protect the screen because the phone will NOT fully close if there is a gap (in this case, you are referring to the thicker lip of the case that you want to be there). It will STOP the case from fully closing.

Btw, I bought mine for RM90 including shipping.

Based on experience, Motorola only provides quarterly updates.
So the next will be this month (July).

It will even get less and less once new Moto flagship phones are released.

Ignore whatever they promised. Look back at their edge series flagship, the update speed & schedule was terrible, no timeline whatsoever and seem like some bug never fix.

If os and security update is important to u then look somewhere else. Currently the update speed as per my understanding are as follow for Android:

Pixel > Sammy > bbk phone > xiaomi n many many else. The worst among flagship in term of updating is moto although they claim is stock bla bla bla.

Moto basically are selling u a cheap phone but then it come with tradeoff of poor support even for flagship range. Think twice before u pull the trigger.

Fan will defend regardless of whatever reason. The support is basically none for moto, the price indeed was cheap for the hardware but the software part really.....

Anyhow everyone can just buy anything based on their own preference. Funny thing is, you will notice both moto china forum and global forum give consistent message on poor support, never fix bug, late update and some even complaint poor photo post processing despite the good hardware spec.

I personally think don't ever buy their flagship, their mid and low range even update faster than the flagship. Quite ridiculous but then their base for mid and low range is much bigger and hence that's the result from business perspective.

Moto was a good brand before but go down the hill once Lenovo take over. Lenovo just come to sell the device and not providing support. Basically what you pay is what you get 😂

Funny thing is you will notice it's same group of ppl that keep on promoting moto. Sometimes I wonder is a marketing company or not, look back at edge 30 ultra/x30 pro section in lowyat. It's basically death with low user base and poor support 🥲

Those are the best way to get the feedback from real user and judge for yourself whether it's something that you want to buy or not.

one of the reasons may also be because z flip 5 rumoured to be competitively priced (but crease is rumoured to still be more noticeable than 40 Ultra)

Bug after updating:
- Palm gesture auto shutter does not work on the main camera (it only works with the selfie cam)

Sooo everyone got the Ultra, no one getting the regular 40? I've been debating to get the regular 40 from fastech, don't really need the big 2ndary screen and I suppose.. less powerful battery + bigger batt = better battery life?

But I am hesitating to switch from my Edge 30 Pro; of which I have almost no complaints on. Switching means I would downgrade the soc (although I am a casual user, no gaming etc), battery, charging speed, cameras, and I suppose practicality/durability? Considering I use my phone for work purposes as well. Also have to think of an excuse to give the missus at home as well lol 🤣

But I am a long time Moto user, and mostly wishes to change to Razr 40 due to being nostalgic using the Razr V3 during my uni days..

I see. Although still can be felt with fingers, aye? And what do you think about picture quality? While I know photography was never a strong point for foldables, and I reckon all modern smartphones produce generally good pictures, I can't help but wonder and looking forward to opinions from different users!

So you have the flagship of flagships to compare 😅 but thank you for your feedback. I am surprised you're using the Razr for daily driver now, despite it's.. shortfalls? I mean you do have a S23U, don't you feel something.. lacking?

I've looked over at Singapore forums, and saw some got theirs from HK, and have Google and Play Store etc etc preloaded. More convenient I suppose..?
