QUOTE(plouffle0789 @ May 30 2023, 06:01 PM) Hyundai Motor Company's distributor in Malaysia was Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM). The Hyundai brand came into Sime Darby Motors in 2004 via the acquisition of Hyumal Motor Sdn Bhd (now known as Sime Darby Hyundai Sdn Bhd) and Hyundai Berjaya Sdn Bhd (now known as Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd), the official importer and distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Malaysia respectively. In 2009, Sime Darby Motors consolidated the importation and distribution of Hyundai vehicles in Malaysia when it acquired the remaining 60% equity in Oriental Hyundai Sdn Bhd (now known as Sime Darby-Hyundai Integrated Sdn Bhd), which was representing two Hyundai models. Boon siew group also involved !!!!!! Did the contract between Berjaya and Hyundai Motors Group last only for 4 years? Did Berjaya reveal the duration of the distribution rights contract with Kia and Peugeot? based on newspaper ads berjaya put in newspapers, I remember berjaya was carrying certain models, while Oriental was starting to carry other models that berjaya wasn't carrying...heard oriental was looking for alternative brands after seeing big local bumi was demanding majority dealership for honda
