I have a table fan in my room, that I use during the day. At night sometimes I switch on AC or I use a stand fan blowing at me, since I got rid of wall fan (hard to clean, difficult to reach).

Problem is my table fan, has a lot of dust, I clean every 2 weeks or when I’m busy once a month and if I work from home a lot, even more…

so I’m thinking of changing it to a Bladeless fan, I heard that it’s less maintenance? I just need to wipe down and that’s all? Is it even reliable? And as cooling too? I don’t need it to cool the entire room cause it will be blowing at me directly.

there're still fan blades, but it's inside the base of the fan. thinks it's louder than table fans because of the smaller blade size

Bladeless fans need to clean the filter below the base.

Bladeless fan move lesser air and more noisy to operate, you may also feel it is not strong enough if compared with conventional table fan.

Maintenance wise, as long it doesn't have good filter, the blade inside & parts will accumulate dust just like Aircond blower and even harder to take apart to clean.

Those with good filter like Dyson help u clean the air and which reduces accumulation of dust on the blade with at a price of the Fan itself + the filter maintenance/change.

Lol. "Bladeless" fan still has a fan hidden near the base of enclosure. The no need cleaning part only applies if there's a 100% effective dust filter placed at the intake

At the bottom is the blade and the filter elements. You just need to change the filter elements on time.

Ah alright! That’s good to know! Looks like my trusty old school table fan is still the best after all. At least I can see the dust accumulating and then clean them after. Hahaha!

Like comment in here bladeless fan is noisier. It still has fan in for of turbine inside. It is small in size, thus generation high pitch sound which can be annoying to certain people. Once the filter get clogged up. the air produce will drop too since less air can be sucked from outside.

I'm very familiar with Dyson fan. Just because of its design, it is selling at premium price but the actual cost is way lower except for certain product that use special coating process to protect circuit board from moisture.

No, don't... just don't.

Bladeless fan uses propeller design for static pressure, compared to normal fans designed for flow rate.

Think bagless vacuum. Sometimes I wish to go back and just use throwaway bags instead of having to clean the vacuum itself.

If you the one that like sfrong wind then dont get bladeless
It still need to clean but not as much as blade unit

The top part need to clean like once every few month due to accumulated dust in it. While the bottom where the blade is still need to be clean

dont waste your money, bladeless still got blade, just its hidden from your vision, you still need to clean it, and its far more difficult to clean.

plus its less power efficient, like instead of directly blowing the wind at you, it blow to a wall and the wall then bounce to you, a good waste of money, its only good when you have stupid kids that might put their fingers to test.

Less maintenance, but less wind also. I have one, but I only bought since I need a device that could move some air yet look pleasing to our eyes.

Maybe you can consider tower fan? Recently i too, moved from wall fan to tower. Been using for last 3 months. lesser noise and portable.
Tapi belum clean lagi, according to you tube its easy, will be cleaning in 3 months time. lets see

clean your fan blade and wax it... once smooth, it will not get dusty so easy, maybe 3-4 month clean once and repeat, but still need to vacuum/mop the external grill part

yes, car wax of furniture wax/polish also can. it makes the surface smooth so less dust stick on to the fan.

Clean with a little bit dishwashing soap (or if your fan is super expensive and you dont want to damage the paint, can use car wash or hand wash/sugar soap), not just plain water, as it will remove oily residue from the fan. I find dishwashing best as it is effective, then clean/wipe off with clean water and wax it.

Bladeless fan safer for children is a marketing gimmick. I know, cause I'm a kid once. Since when do you hear any fan accident? Even the most b40 ppr also no case

Just strip off the blade, front and back wire cover and flush with water in toilet
