QUOTE(Oblivon @ Nov 23 2007, 09:17 PM) sorry guys if this doesnt suit here, i'm on Opty 144 socket 939 on 1gb ram but then things get kinda slow up now and i wanna add another 1gb ram but then the price really expensive now for DDR1 then with the huge price drop for DDRII really lures me to upgrade to DDRII , prolly will get 4200+ X2 with 2GB rams. do you think it is wise to do that ? I think its not worth. Now,you can get cheap AM2 system with more better performance.Try to get F3 later, new good OC mobo and a micron rams. |

QUOTE(Oblivon @ Nov 23 2007, 09:29 PM) yea bro, intel is nono to me because quite expensive, tight budget. anyway my budget for proc, mobo and ram is around RM600+ Yup,good,no to intel. Btw,600+ is almost enough if you only plan to get a mobo, ram and cpu. Just get 1 1GB stick ram 1st,later you can grab another stick. |

QUOTE(Oblivon @ Nov 23 2007, 09:42 PM) Yup,about the F3,dont worry about the warranty issue,no 1 has ever claimed about it yet so far.Its because it only need stock vcore to achieve 3.01Ghz.QUOTE(alive88 @ Nov 23 2007, 09:43 PM) Its cheap bro,250-270 can get new one d.But,im still noob at this mobo, cant utilize it for its performance. Added on November 23, 2007, 9:50 pm QUOTE(-pWs- @ Nov 23 2007, 09:44 PM) Go for active cooling then. Go Garage Sales and find AllnGap mod ram cooler. 100% recommended by me Thats what im thinking of,many kaki OC use it. -pWs- Im planning to get the thermalright, but the probs is,i dont know wether it can fit both rams im using cuz the its not like INTEL rams slot where those rams have a gap in between. But,do you guys increased the vdimm more than 2.2v..? This post has been edited by ocz: Nov 23 2007, 09:50 PM |

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Nov 23 2007, 09:52 PM) For benchmark purposes, i do increase it until 2.5v which is maximum for my board. oic,im not sure whats my crucial's stock vcore.Stated from the website is 2.2v.For 24/7, I limit myself to 2.2v. Scare will spoil my ram. -pWs- In bios is 1.85v and in cpuz is 1.8v. Dont know which is correct. Added on November 23, 2007, 9:56 pm QUOTE(Oblivon @ Nov 23 2007, 09:54 PM) if your planning to get crucial 10th ann,it only have 667.But its a great ram. But,IMO,you better get a 6400 (800) due to the price almost the same.I mean not really a huge different in pricing. QUOTE(choyster @ Nov 25 2007, 05:44 PM) hi guys using the biostar t690 mobo. 1- It would be coz of not the voltage for vdimm and vcore you set in not sufficient.1)Why after i set the setting for Oc it says i am running safe setup thing wats that? 2)Why got so many settings for memory timing which 1 should i set? 3)Which 1 is the Ht setting?i see got 1 is ask u to choose a number but got 1 is got the number and the mhz de so which 1 should i set? 2- Do you mean ram divider? If you want to find the ram div,Its in the memory clock value. 3- HT link is inside the HT Link Control--->HT Link Frequency---> auto,200,400,600,800 and 1Ghz.Set it to 800Mhz. Hope it helps. |

QUOTE(choyster @ Nov 26 2007, 03:54 AM) 1)Changing the voltage dangerous or not? 1- Changing the ram volate is normally safe between 1.8v default and max 2.2v. Above 2.2v,u need at least a passive ram cooler.2)Got Ram divider but 2 many things can be set i also dunno set which 1 normally is 5-5-5-15 but that 1 can set so many 3)ok i got it this 1 2- Allrite, about the ram timings, you can try to use memset 1st,if you find a great timing, then you can change in the bios. |
