QUOTE(omara86 @ Dec 6 2007, 12:33 AM) my mobo bios function in oc is so limited... all i can do is adjusting my core clock... that's all... so i dunno anything else... i set my core clock to 228 to reach 3.43.. haiya. Ur mobo cannot set ram divider ke? go and change ur mobo perhaps bro ahah 227 to 3.41 220 to 3.29 dun really remember... what i mean is your ram divider. is it ddr400 or ddr533 you're using? Bcoz once you increase the fsb, it will also speed up your ram. And first thing u want to avoid if you're using value rams is not to set its speed beyond its limit. So that's the use of the divider. Underclock the ram in order to increase the fsb. And based on your result here, i suppose you're using amd 6000+. Go and check out ddr2 table in the first page. Look out at 15X multiplier and check out the ram divider's value. Then u can know the speed of your ram. This post has been edited by nadeng1987: Dec 6 2007, 05:19 AM |

QUOTE(cyberloner @ Dec 9 2007, 06:30 AM) as long as it is not over 70'C it is fine... For my 2.9Ghz, i didnt add up vcore pon. My proc will only need more vcore when fsb reaches 282.but brisbane temp is not correct ... dun go over vcore 1.6 will do... from my exp in brisbane more vcore doesn't help at all for more oc ... it just won't boot to higher clock with more vcore... News: Latest phenom have issue... http://techreport.com/discussions.x/13724 sigh to amd... please come back nway, thanx for the info bro. Now i know my proc is safely OCed. |

QUOTE(mizivincible @ Dec 13 2007, 06:29 AM) Im facing problem of not passing 3ghz. But please dont tell me to change to F3 Windy la ehehehe. Set multiplier to 10 so that it becomes 1:1. Try use DDR400 divider. Set your trfc dimm *0/1/2/3(* the slots u put your ram) to 195 and change MAL value to 10. Start OC back from scratch with this setting. Bout the vcore, ive no idea why i only needed little vcore to push FSB at 310Mhz. Maybe i had better luck than you when getting the proc i guess. X2 4000+ Brisby It seems that it cant go beyond 3ghz. My fsb will just be stable @ 270mhz and more than that it seems it hit the wall. Now just running at - 2.835ghz FSB - 270mhz Vcore - 1.344 Vdimm - 2.35 Mem Timing - 5-5-5-12-18 Mem Freq - 354.4mhz I tried to raise the vcore till 1.5v and seems that it cudnt boot too. Tried different timing also useless. p/s : Before this with cap ayam psu I can go at 2.91 @1.44v with 5-5-5-15-20 and 263.5mhz mem freq. Any suggestion ? FYI I changed to Silverstone Strider ST56F yesterday and still yet to get the result I want. One more thing - I notice nadeng1987 reaching 3.1ghz with Brisby 4000+ but why his multiplier is at 10.0 ? While mine is 10.5 ? Another thing, he's only getting that 3.1ghz at 1.36v. |

QUOTE(mizivincible @ Dec 13 2007, 12:14 PM) If u use ddr400 divider, at 290Fsb ur ram also wud be at 290Mhz. Stil in its underclocked value since you're using 667 ram. I did not add up any vdimm at all in my OC last time as my ram was running under its recommended speed which was 310Mhz.Senang cerite mcm ni, if u cant boot after adding up vcore, add up the vdimm. If both add still cannot boot, then u might have reach ur limit. Eventho you're stil might wanna play with chipset voltage plak. But since our setup is the same mizinvicible(well, now ive changed ram aidy), just stay with your default vdimm. Let see how far u can go. I did asked kmarc bout vdimm for value ram and he said dont go over 2.1V. U go pass 2.1 then you're taking risk oredi. Nevertheless, by daring to OC you're oredi take risk tho haha Added on December 13, 2007, 12:37 pm QUOTE(xixo_12 @ Dec 13 2007, 11:16 AM) haha.. im no pro.. im still in learning progress. QUOTE(mizivincible @ Dec 13 2007, 01:25 PM) And, this is the result. When I increase my fsb more than 300, with any vcore it unable to boot. I did increase vcore until 1.5v yet it doesnt wanna start. Guess that it has reached its peak. Guess that's your max stable configuration you can get out of ur system bro. For me to reach 3.1Ghz was just lucky hehe. I got quite a nice proc. Running 3ghz @ 1.42v. Breaking previous record 2.92ghz. Will prime orthos later. Thanks to all especially bro nadeng1987 and -pWs- for guiding =D Nway, Congratz for breaking your own result! Added on December 13, 2007, 1:48 pm QUOTE(jeromeccm @ Dec 13 2007, 12:54 PM) regarding to bro jeromeccm, i read reviews and posts from other forums regarding OC using biostar mobo. One thing they stress about is DO NOT use biostar overclocking software. They say it's crap and alwez freeze your PC. That exactly what heppened to me b4 when i used that software. Why dont you use bios instead? This post has been edited by nadeng1987: Dec 13 2007, 01:48 PM |
