sorry guys if this doesnt suit here, i'm on Opty 144 socket 939 on 1gb ram but then things get kinda slow up now and i wanna add another 1gb ram but then the price really expensive now for DDR1 then with the huge price drop for DDRII really lures me to upgrade to DDRII , prolly will get 4200+ X2 with 2GB rams. do you think it is wise to do that ?

I think its not worth.Now,you can get cheap AM2 system with more better performance.

Try to get F3 later,new good OC mobo and a micron rams.

It is up to you bro. So your choice will be in AMD platform right??

yea bro, intel is nono to me because quite expensive, tight budget. anyway my budget for proc, mobo and ram is around RM600+

The processor that you choose is fine. Motherboard try to get Biostar TA690G. Cheap and nice overclockability motherboard.
For ram, I think with that budget, get those value ram will do.

Btw,600+ is almost enough if you only plan to get a mobo,ram and cpu.
Just get 1 1GB stick ram 1st,later you can grab another stick.

Yup,thats rite as what PWS said,get a Biostar TA690G.It wont let you down if youre kaki OC.

Go for Biostar TA690G. It is much easier to overclock using that.
For DFI, I am not saying that the board is not good. Just that DFI Inf UltraII-M2 need higher Vcore to achieve the same clock speed if compared to Biostar TA690G. This is what i found out. No proof though
For Abit Kn9 Ultra, I am not sure then. Have to ask others already
