I believe that Bank Negara and CIMB Bank are currently imposing stricter regulations. I have never owned a credit card before, nor have I taken out car or housing loans. Currently, I have RM 80,000 fixed deposit in CIMB Bank.

The pledged fixed deposit is only RM 3,000, resulting in a credit limit of RM 3,000.

I am 32 years old. It's worth noting that many individuals under 35 declare bankruptcy due to unpaid credit card debts and high levels of debt in Malaysia.
My CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum credit card, which I applied for in May 2023, currently has a RM3000 fixed deposit pledged to it. If I decide to withdraw the fixed deposit, I must cancel the credit card.

Do you think my new normal credit card, which is not linked to a fixed deposit, will be approved?
I use the CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum Credit Card almost every month and pay it with 1 month.

I plan to apply for the CIMB PETRONAS Visa Platinum-i.

Can I use the Ctos score to determine rate of success ?
