i'm using 30mbps from may 2021 till early this year. just me and my wife using internet. she got 2 phones and 1 ipad, i got 1 phone and 1 galaxy tab and mba and PS5 and smart tv.

30mbps is seriously too slow for me especially when downloading and updating games and uploading videos to cloud like google photos.

now upgraded to 100mbps under maxis. got free 6 months bill so save RM700 plus. on 7th month will need to pay like usual rm129. contract 2 years. if you do the math, it's quite worth it. let me explain.

currently you are using 30mbps at rm89. if you continue to use this package for 2 years, you're paying rm89 x 24 = rm 2136.

If you change ISP and use 100mbps at rm129, you get 6 months no need to pay bill, so only need to pay rm129 for 18 months. rm129 x 18 = rm 2322. now divide 2322 by 24 months (coz of the 2 years contract), you get rm 96.75. so that's your average price for 100mbps for 2 years.

it's like you're paying extra rm7.75 per month for 3 times speed increase. (rm89 vs rm96.75)

Hmm, I don't know bro... I think the Math is a little off since there's also taxes involve, with TM Unifi I don't pay exactly RM89. I pay RM94.69 monthly, if I were to go with RM129 100Mbps then that means I'll have to pay RM134.69 per month (Regardless of me being in contract or not)

RM134.69 x 24 months is RM3232.56
RM94.69 x 24 months is RM2272.56

Thus I save RM960 per year if I stick to 30Mbps.

well ts said my calculation is off just because i didnt include SST lol go figure. i guess you should stop mention 99 and 129 as well coz that isnt the final amount you will be paying you see hahaha ts logic
well that's even better then, good for you. but meh according to ts at the end of the day the savings would be "960 per year" if didnt upgrade at all and just maintain at 30mbps.
