It’s this spot
The grassy patch across from the house is now red patch as seen from satellite view

Dropped pin

The BMW was driving way too fast in that kind of road. So many houses right next to the road.

heres the crux

from the view of the CCTV the moto oredi enter the main road ~2-3 secs before the car
and seeing how fast the car's travelling
it would seems further away from the POV of the moto
*
If the moto did check and see the car coming up at that speed, I doubt she will continue to turn and immediately move to middle of the road.

For that kena open another file to determine if indeed the Town Council was indeed negligent. 🤣🤣🤣

The reason there were lines on the straight road is because anyone coming to the T-junction from the taman, they are allowed to turn left unto the single lane road, that the BMW was speeding on. Hence that is the reason why the lines are there, so that road users follow the road signs.

No 2 ways about it. The reason why there is an accident is because the BMW thought that the lines were just for hiasan or got too much paint, so Town Council workers suka suka draw what they like.
*
Actually kan, this kind of T junction is so common it's everywhere in malaysia. From small road coming out, sure, got solid line. But draw two solid lines on the straight road without traffic lights, that's odd.

Irregardless whether it is odd or not, when we drive it must be based on road signs and signages.

If we drive based what is common, bila uncommon aje terus accident betul ? Mana boleh ini macam, betul ?
*
Of course we react accordingly. But trust me, you drive based on your common instinct more than you think. That's why a proper road planning and design is important.

how you know she didn't stop at the junction?
Maybe she did stop at the junction and saw the BMW still far away only exit. Or she saw the BMW is at the inside lane which suppose to turn left not going straight.
What I saw in the video is she already fully exit the junction and the BMW rear ended her bike.
*
That's the point lo. Nobody know mah. So don't use the word "innocent moto" lo.

my picture left most is straight, why got white line?
*
Good question. Why?

No road sign, no stripes, no bump, no prior warning, suddenly want the cars come to full stop.

Why?

housing area speed limit is  30 kmh

that is why no sign to warn you

if got speed bump, there will be no white line

QUOTE(mcchin @ May 15 2023, 02:11 PM)
this pucture is like the ori one, just mirrored
my guess
new road leading into taman, need stop

taman road lead out to new road , right of way no line
*
I opinion is that this (just a white line on a straight road) is not the best/safest design for road users (compared to traffic light, bumps, strips, road signs etc). Even the place where this BMW accident took place also got a huge banner made by residents there to warn it's residents to be careful on this junction, this shows that this junction had some accidents or near misses before due to this design.

I hope the enforcers will redesign and add some speed bumps or better yet, a traffic light at that junction.
