 can KK get away with misdiagnosis?

Firstly it's very unlikely for ambient temp to affect thermometer reading.

Secondly yes kk / hosp can detain a child if it is life threatening or guardian making decisions against the benefit of the child.
U can say u wanna go columbia but whether u go hosp or go back home no one knows. And kk cannot refer u to columbia when there is a gov hosp with peads speciality within it's vicinity and disease is deemed urgent.

Lastly the columbia doctors did start iv antibiotics means they must have suspected an infection as well. It might not be sepsis but no reputable peadiatrician will suka2 start antibiotics.
