Not a very good sign. Your motherboard may have became defective.
Were you able to get to the CMOS screen and take a look at the hardware settings?

Here is one thing worth to try:
1. Turn off & unplug the power cord from the laptop. Remove the battery, hard drive, CD/DVD drive(if they're removable) and memory modules(be careful above static electricity).
2. Wait 30 minutes.
3. Put everything back.
4. Cross your fingers & power up.

We need to do a thorough check before we can confirm the actual price.

My Compaq 700 has the same 'illness' led on but cannot boot not even bios or a sound! Had followed your procedures and no improvement. Whats your advice?

If this still does not work then I think something is wrong with the motherboard. You need to bring it to us to check it thoroughly.

do you have toshiba satellite 1200 keyboard

and im using toshiba satellite l20-c430, 15.4" lcd, lg philips lcd

have problems with the lcd, you see my lcd solder connections (suck type soldering) is bad or loose
so it freeze and turn black or white the whole screen, i have checked and they said the lcd board need to be replace all together, can you pm me how much

my problem is same like above..but my laptop brand is TARGA..do u have any replacement part if i send mylaptop for repair?
