QUOTE(g5sim @ Dec 5 2007, 11:36 PM) and for those to bragged about lossless PCM or trueHD tracks: Best Audio Quality: Transformers (HD DVD), Paramount Home Entertainment the irony LOL!!! "Transformers" winning the audio award is not about the audio format, or the disc format for that matter. It's more because of the movie itself. The movie contains a lot of action, with unique, electronic sounds that is out of this world (pun intended ). I bet all my BDs that "Transformers" will be a sure winner no matter what disc format it's on (for this year's awards, at least). Even without lossless audio, the Dolby Digital Plus track was encoded at 1.5 mbps, that's a lot of data per second already. When "Transformers' is released on BD, I can't even imagine how spectacular the audio will be, that we could have a Linear PCM lossless 6.9 mbps track. And what really make me laugh is that they couldn't put lossless audio for the "Transformers" HD-DVD just because the ran out of space!! So, imagine the possibilities with BD! Latest comment by Michael Bay: QUOTE(Michael Bay) Does anyone out here want to challenge what I feel suits my films better in terms of look. I see every frame of my films over a hundred times before it is ever released. I know the lighting conditions I shot it and the result on the DI. I know the range. I know what the final product should look like - Blu Ray suits my films better. But that said - I don't a care about this format war because I have both formats in my screening room - I'm just filling you in on what people deep in the film industry feel ultimately is going on -
Transformers looks great even in DVD!! The Official Michael Bay ForumsThis post has been edited by aiman04: Dec 6 2007, 08:29 AM

A slang term for gay men who wander about looking for sex or potential partners D. Patent, a derogatory phrase describing an individual or company with a patent portfolio containing patents, which it never intended to commercialize Please conclude what do all those have in common?

If I can get 3 people to order (max allowable)...cost per title will be around RM75 only.... I ordered at the previous BOGO, using standard shipping the cost per titles only RM62 only (only ordered 2 titles). Standard shipping OK la, only took 10 days including shipping. Added on December 8, 2007, 5:34 pmQUOTE(bose00 @ Dec 8 2007, 09:21 AM) The Buy 1 Free 1 Deal strikes back again : Blu-ray Disc Buy 1 Free 1 Dealspecifically i am waiting for the Planet Earth with the xtra features on blu-ray and it's recently release on the UK amazon site . here is the review i found : "Let me help you understand. We specifically waited for this release of Planet Earth on Blu-ray (as opposed to the earlier 4 disc release) because it was advertised as having all of the "making of" extras. It doesn't (and I don't care if they were filmed in HD or not) " meaning the fact is there is no xtra contents ? anyone can comment on this ? You should pass this one if you're expecting the extra features. Refer my earlier post: QUOTE(aiman04 @ Dec 4 2007, 07:36 AM) There is a 5-disc edition that is out already. Go here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Planet-Earth-Compl...96724202&sr=8-2But yes, no actual making-ofs (diaries and "The Future" episodes) like the DVD edition, the fifth disc only contain two extra episodes of the Natural World: "Desert Lions" and "Snow Leopards". AND it's not actually 1080p for this release, but 1080i only. Bummer. I think we should pass this edition too. The 1080i is actually for the whole 11 episodes, not just the extras. QUOTE(Muchi @ Dec 8 2007, 09:59 PM) Saw this post at gametrailers.com. Posted by MattYandell. Here is the link, gametrailers.com forum. Apparently Transformer is on Blu-ray. Is this new or old? Lol anyway, thought I would share. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Well isn't that interesting? I went into Woolworths the other day and what did I see on the shelf? Well take a look... That's right! I asked at the counter what was going on and they said they have it on Blu-ray but they've sold out at the minute. Now isn't that something? And hopefully I'm buying it today." @One thing, why one of the box has "Transformers" printed on it while the other doesn't? Possible fake? ------------------ Update:» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Its just a filler case. We used to get them when I worked on a music and video department. One with the name is placed at the front and the rest fill out the display." by Redlibertine So I guess it's for real then. I can make that Transformers BD casing very easily. Print out the cover, put in my existing BD case, take the picture.

QUOTE(mazdagtr210 @ Dec 10 2007, 12:01 AM) hiyyo kena tax ker.... takutnya macam ni... dahla duit cikai jer skrg ni... Not necessarily. It depends on nasib. Like POP, bought 14 BDs, lepas. Or maybe he put something under table. From my 5 years experience buying DVDs and BDs at Amazon, never once I kena. (ckp besar lagi, ). But I always buy 3 items only per shipment. I also use DHL mostly, I think they can kaotim with kastam somehow. If I use DHL, never got any delay, like kastam never even bother to look. Always arrive within 3 days.

QUOTE(rx330 @ Dec 11 2007, 03:05 PM) 66rm per movie, why not sorry speedy.... i rather wait for 10days for shipping Those who's selling their BDs in the trading thread will have to lower their price now. People can get new BDs for just over RM60 now. This BOGO sale is happening very frequently now. And christmas is getting closer. I think local retailers like Speedy will have to lower their price too. RM150 per title? We can get 2 titles and still pay less than that now! QUOTE(PrinceOfPersia @ Dec 11 2007, 04:39 PM) tu ada lagi org pinjam tu Blade Runner 5 Discs FeaturesSpecs Revealed for Blade Runner at Comic Con
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Warner Bros. Warner Home Video has revealed the specs for the upcoming 5-dics Blu-ray edition of 'Blade Runner', which is to feature all five cuts of the film, including a brand new cut which director Ridley Scott is finishing in post-production right now. No price has yet to be set for the release, but it is due on store shelves December 18th. A limited edition will be available to collectors, and will come packaged in a case which looks similar to Rick Deckard's own briefcase. Inside the case (which will be individually numbered) will be a frame of the original film, a miniature unicorn origami figurine, a miniature replica spinner car, a collector's photograph, and a letter from director Ridley Scott. Details of contents of the Blu-ray edition:
Disc One: RIDLEY SCOTT'S ALL-NEW "FINAL CUT" VERSION OF THE FILM
* Restored and remastered with added & extended scenes, added lines, new and cleaner special effects and all new 5.1 Dolby Digital Audio. Also includes: * Commentary by Ridley Scott * Commentary by Executive Producer/ Co-Screenwriter Hampton Fancher and Co-Screenwriter David Peoples; Producer Michael Deely and production executive Katherine Haber * Commentaries by visual futurist Syd Mead; production designer Lawrence G. Paull, art director David L. Snyder and special photographic effects supervisors Douglas Trumbull, Richard Yuricich and David Dryer
Disc Two: DOCUMENTARY DANGEROUS DAYS: MAKING BLADE RUNNER A feature-length authoritative documentary revealing all the elements that shaped this hugely influential cinema landmark. Cast, crew, critics and colleagues give a behind-the-scenes, in-depth look at the film -- from its literary roots and inception through casting, production, visuals and special effects to its controversial legacy and place in Hollywood history.
Disc Three: 1982 THEATRICAL VERSION This is the version that introduced U.S. movie-going audiences to a revolutionary film with a new and excitingly provocative vision of the near-future. It contains Deckard/Harrison Ford's character narration and has Deckard and Rachel's (Sean Young) "happy ending" escape scene. 1982 INTERNATIONAL VERSIONAlso used on U.S. home video, laserdisc and cable releases up to 1992. This version is not rated, and contains some extended action scenes in contrast to the Theatrical Version. 1992 DIRECTOR'S CUTThe Director's Cut omits Deckard's voiceover narration and removes the "happy ending" finale. It adds the famously-controversial "unicorn" sequence, a vision that Deckard has which suggests that he, too, may be a replicant. Disc Four:
Disc Four: BONUS DISC - "Enhancement Archive"
* Featurette The Electric Dreamer: Remembering Philip K. d*** * Featurette Sacrificial Sheep: The Novel vs. The Film * Philip K. d***: The Blade Runner Interviews (Audio) * Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep Cover Gallery (Images) * The Art of Blade Runner (Image Galleries) * Featurette Signs of the Times: Graphic Design * Featurette Fashion Forward: Wardrobe & Styling * Screen Tests: Rachel & Pris * Featurette The Light That Burns: Remembering Jordan Cronenweth * Unit Photography Gallery * Deleted & Alternate Scenes * 1982 Promotional Featurettes * Trailers & TV Spots * Featurette Promoting Dystopia: Rendering the Poster Art * Marketing & Merchandise Gallery (Images) * Featurette Deck-A-Rep: The True Nature of Rick Deckard * Featurette Nexus Generation: Fans & Filmmakers
Disc 5: WORKPRINT VERSION (newly remastered) This rare version of the film is considered by some to be the most radically different of all the Blade Runner cuts. It includes an altered opening scene, no Deckard narration until the final scenes, no "unicorn" sequence, no Deckard/Rachel "happy ending," altered lines between Batty (Rutger Hauer) and his creator Tyrell (Joe Turkell), alternate music and much more.
* Commentary by Paul M. Sammon, author of Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner * Featurette All Our Variant Futures: From Workprint to Final Cut
USD27.95 for 5 BDs Added on December 11, 2007, 5:27 pmQUOTE(PrinceOfPersia @ Dec 11 2007, 04:30 PM) come on amazon, add more titles in BOGO promo please » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « still got empty space la Wah, so many.
