Oh Yeah~!
Just check out Amazon and found out something.. production got delay but also there is no more stocks available to blu-ray if you you order now and what I found out is that HD DVD still got stock available; what does it mean? Blu-ray sell more or Warner purposely limited the stock. I'm neutral here What I mean is that I hope Blade Runner sells "very very very" well on Blu-ray |

I finish Disc 1 and Disc 2 of Blade Runner.. Disc 2 is definitely DVD cause I watch it with DVD Player
Disc 3 is old the theatrical cut, international cuts and director's cut which is Blu-ray and 4th disc is DVD again and the last disc is workprint blu-ray again.. the last disc is the unedit of the movie.. the printing is bad cause is unedit, no clean-up and you can even see the rope hanging the flying cars but is interesting how the finish product looks compare to the unedit one.. I might need to watch the final cut again for commentary from the director Overall, strongly recommend |

Just read some article about Natural Journey available for both format, just wonder anyone in this forum got this tittle? How is it?
I read about the film is encode with same video encode which is VC-1, but differently bit rates, which of course Blu-ray got better bit rates. Well, the reviewer said using his 50 inch Samsung DLP screen, there are no identical difference on both format on normal viewing distance, but with bigger screen there is a different; I guess that why some people prefer HD DVD since not much people has big screen or over 100 inch display But still it prove that more bit rates delivers better picture quality, an argument which always said Blu-ray is nothing different compare to HD DVD in term of picture quality. There also some interesting interview on it Source Rx bro, you said you finish the Resident Evil Extinction, care to said something about the PiP that available on the movie? Pretty excited about the first the true PiP on Blu-ray disc. Bro Stringfellow, your Onkyo TX-SR605 AV Receiver make me How I wish I could get one now, no money |

Just arrived office and check out the forum, thanks guy for the great news to Blu-ray from Warner.
I couldn't believe it and start surfing around the net and indeed is true. But the exclusive start on May 2008. Well is not an immediate effect like Paramount, which take away Transformers and Shrek 3 Need to get more Warner's movie on Blu-ray in order to strongly support them for having exclusively on Blu-ray Ok, most wanted list, Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, Matirx Trilogy, Constantine, etc Warner, please? What should I do with my 30+ HD-DVD? |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jan 5 2008, 10:25 AM) Okay then, washing machine company. Agree bro Stringfellow. I love Blu-ray, but I never doubt HD DVD, trust me, I got the Ultimate Matrix Trilogy, Batman Begins and V for Vendetta, and I can assure you is the best HD DVD out there which is a must for collectors. So I decide to keep it. And hopefully dual format player do get to a point which is cheap and reliable.Keep those HD-DVDs, it will still play on your player. Once dual format player prices come down, get one as backup should your primary player dies, or get standalone HD-DVD players on the cheap when the format dies away. The good news about all this is concerning Warner. They had been limiting their encoding bitrates to HD-DVD specs (a.k.a less storage space, lower encoding rates), and pass the same encoding rates to their BD titles. Now with them going BD, i hope they take advantage of the BD space and do higher encodes. The result can already be seen from new titles like Shoot 'Em Up from New Line, where bitrates recorded reaches 40-50Mbps, and the PQ looked phenomenal. I do read about lower bit rate on HD DVD. Well, it won;t effect the image as long as your display is below 50 inches. How many people can possibly can get more than 50 inches TV But like you said, I also hope that with better space and spec, Warner deliver much better bit rate for the "coming soon" movie, like Dark Knight Oh yes, I'm looking forward for Shoot 'Em Up, my shipment is still in HK right now.... |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Jan 5 2008, 10:29 AM) frankly, i really dun really like warner... cheap skate box, single disc inside box, no nothing else, exact encoding with hd dvd, sucks Warner Exclusive to Blu-ray is helping this format war, and one thing you must know Warner Bros hold 20% of the movie market. But about packing is really sucks |

One thing will be bad after the format war ends is that...
