200-300baht per transaction, no matter amount? if withdraw alot maybe ok depending on rate.. how much is the rate for thai baht in wise?
*
You need to check the respective banks, they can have different withdrawal limit. I'm quite sure whatever the limit, it's not worth the extra 200 baht.

Tip: dont use wise to withdraw from ATM in thailand, their ATMs charge 200 or 300 baht withdrawal fee.  Not worth it.

QUOTE(tolongking @ Apr 29 2023, 06:07 PM)
Exactly. I was fooled once cos their marketing cleverly claimed that there is no fees but this time, it was levied by the corresponding ATM. The THB200 charge is even more expensive than our traditional banks
*
I know about the surcharge

But was desperate for extra cash that time

Extra tip for those who want to withdraw - Look for Aeon ATM, their fee is the lowest iinm at 150 THB. The withdrawal fee varies depending on the bank.

ayam use in oversea before in SG and USA.

very seamless and very transparent.

Just tap and it goes thru no issues. Just waiting for them to enable ApplePay instead of bringing around the card

ive added the virtual card to ApplePay.

That's just shitty business of thai bank. I withdraw from ATM machine in Japan and it only charge a maximum of 220yen. But wise also has limit of monthly free amount you can withdraw without any fees. After that amount, it's 1.75% . I still find it more cheaper than changing currency in money changer. That's when I calculate YEN anyways.

Wise user since 2019 and now my daily multi-purpose card.
It's definitely become a lot more useable over the years.

- Recently compatible with Samsung Pay, Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Grab etc. with almost no need for the physical card.
- Create unlimited virtual cards (limit to 3 at a time) for one-time use purchases or secondary user.
- Tap function works in 99% of places/countries I've visited.
- converts at mid-market FX rates in real-time settlement vs days with banks
- tracks expenses with downloadable reports

eh can ask which card you go to? Saw article said that only mastercard can add to apple/samsung pay, and another said card issued in JP/MY cannot be added.
