It is a mistaken view that Singkie loves Msian/Johor properties.

It does not make cost sense.

They cannot rent it out ( returns will be divided 3+ with SGD/Myr Ringgit conversion). There is no resale value (even if they manage to sell, they cannot keep all of the proceeds e.g. legal fees, property agent fees, repair fees, etc. + proceeds will be divided 3+).

There are a few exceptions of course e.g. they have relatives in Msia or were from Msia.

So

Pls dont listen to all the snake oil peddlers who claim Singkies will buy properties in Johor/Msia with RTS.

Or that Singkie will live in Johor and work in Sg. Msians who work in Sg and commute daily between Sg and Msia have no choice. Singkie wont wake up at 4am+ in Johor just to be in office in Sg by 8am.

Pls stop ppl go other country work their economy. Retain ppl in JB. Let's those singKie come work. Stop become bangla or rohiya. Our ppl go there kena tindas. Cibai politicians. Stop this RTS shit.

They may not buy, but they may rent and live in JB and commute daily IF the RTS commute is as smooth and hassle-free as promised (immigration only on one side etc). After all, many careers are now hybrid etc. Don't need to come to office that often. I do see it as viable, especially for projects that are walking distance to RTS.

Getting a place to live in SG will only become harder, the overspill must happen. I have worked in SG before, only need to be in office twice a week. If the RTS was around and I had my family with me, I would definitely consider staying in JB for the larger space.

msia boleh lah.  Tear down the RTS!!!  close the causeway.  all msians please remember the good time we hd when covid shut out sgp.  We retain all msian workers in Jb.  everything was cheap .  there was  no crowd and queue with workers service top notch.    JB dont need Singapore.  My house got 3 storey and need workers.  i got 5 cars need car services .  Car cleaning shops in JB must be for  msians only.  Msia boleh
