Search seller past sales posts, seems like a legit seller. Some of the GPU (ie 7900) he did mentioned sometimes problematic and sell as semi-faulty. The GTX1060 he mentioned modified a fan using cable ties.
I think in general, the most annoying thing whenever buying used PC hardware is GPU and RAM. It is so hard to prove the parts would work 100% all the time. That's the risk one would have to take whenever buying used pc parts.
I think this could be communicated better on both sides. Seller dont necessary have to bear the responsibility of guaranteeing the compatibility part for the buyer. Could have ask buyer to test the card on another PC (different motherboard) to prove card is faulty. On the seller part, should have return the money once he agreed with TS to return the card and receive it in working condition.
Bought GPU in the past and yeah, sometimes the card would boot just fine. After long hours, the pc would just restart. At first, I even swapped ram, but in the end, changing the GPU solved the problem. That's part of the risk I'm willing to take when buying a used GPU. Hence nowadays, I wont even buy used GPU over RM200. Just not worth it when things go south.
