My thoughts of the cx30 are as below
1. Fuel efficiency: really ke longkang. On average i was getting at 10 to 11km/L je (70:30 city/highway)
2. power: underpowered, slow acceleration, slow gear change. Really wonder why they put pedal shifter when the gear transmission is really bad.
3. Maintenance: this one no comments as mazda maintenance was free when i had the car for 2 years. Just that brake pad for all 4 tyres will cost u rm 1.4k ya, be prepared.
What really ticked me off is the damn creaking sound of the interior. Really not acceptable for a rm160k car which mazda used top quality materials but forgot to use quality screws kut. Service center also not knowledgeable enough to solve this issue. My myvi has less creaking sound then my cx30 for God’s sake.
I am telling u guys, u can get better cheaper SUV then this cx30 such as the Corolla Cross or even the new HRV.
Dont make the same mistake that i did, this cx 30 is all style but no substance. So much of their cost went into the interior that their engine, fuel efficiency, gearbox sucks, and even the interior also sucks btw 😂😂
All in all, they should have released the turbo version of the cx30 or at least with the skyactive x, not this weak ass skyactive g noob engine.
I concur the same but on cx5 2.0 engine, my family car. It just struggling for power especially at Karak. FC, nothing splendid, just normal. But the GB just kinda slow, we expect it more since 6 gear automatic. But it just work with reluctant attitude most of the time.
For rattling here and there, try send it to Glenmarie body & paint, at least i have claimed new steering clock spring and rear tyre bearing when mileage less than 10k km.
Atf plan to perform at 40k km outside
