Wanna get SUV to try out and use for city driving/tapau food adventures. (Mainly for gf to drive)

It seems both CX-30 (High spec) and 2008 is roughly the same price around RM135,000


But CX-30 got 160HP whereas 2008 only has 130HP but with high torque.


fully specced CX-30 is out of the budget of course. and 3008 is also too out of the budget..

in terms of maintenance, and RV, it is not a worrying factor.

However, wanna ask in terms of driving dynamics and practicality, i saw 2008 a bit small leh like a buffed up premium myvi.. but the design wins the boring CX-30 anyday. CX-30 is bigger and more spacious like C-segment SUV d. and of course japs reliability.

So which?

It is Year 2023, both model also by Bermaz. You get same warranty period and free service.

But, it is still a Peugeot. Reliability will always be a question mark.

Both Mazada and Pidgeotto are under the same company i.e. Bermaz
So, expect the same.

if you bring in resale value to the picture, the mazda probably has a lower cost of ownership.

Mazada after sales is a bit okay. they been with Bermaz long time.
Pidgeotto just come under Bermaz, service probably not at the desired level yet.

You mean you haven't test drive both? Get behind the wheel then compare. Specs on paper don't mean much.

Not really a big issue in terms of RV, but big issue for 1st 5 years of ownership.


Because if I bring to 3rd party workshop (which always get the job done and fixed), the warranty will be voided right? Hence 1st 5 years afraid need put in workshop 1-2 months when parts breakdown/faulty and need to wait for parts to arrive. which is stupid.
