Maxis fiber has imposed a rm10 charge for use of IPV4 .
Can I not pay the extra fee?
What will happen if I configure my router?
Or should I migrate to Celcom?
Ipv4 to pay extra for, Are we being taken for a ride?

your post and title is misleading, it's always included in the service/ subscription of the Maxis Fiber plan, however is RM 10 is chargable for any users requesting for Public IP instead awol liked this post

QUOTE(ride19 @ Mar 30 2023, 10:23 AM) Maxis fiber has imposed a rm10 charge for use of IPV4 . For PUBLIC IPV4, which is now a value add service Can I not pay the extra fee? What will happen if I configure my router? Or should I migrate to Celcom? (Considering TM only gives on special request, not on TIME 100Mbps and RM100 fee for Allo) If you do not want to pay the extra RM10 monthly charge, you can move from PUBLIC to PRIVATE contact CS Public was given to you on request in the first place, and they gave you 3 or so months notice before they started charging the fee when they changed it from free to rm10 monthly Public IP is required for some stuff such as Port Forwarding for stuff such as Game Servers or remotely access non cloud based CCTVs Please check if you need the public ip service and remove if you dont need it |
