If you guys look carefully at the video, I think none of electrical cabling above track has been lay out yet. Those thing including testing will take time. I remember northern sector they finished double tracking first but electrification was still not done. But diesel trains can already use both tracks. This will happen to southern route also while electrification being done. So Loke is not wrong. He is being conservative.

I involved in the project before, even the infra completed, the testing takes few months. Moreover, got many things to touch up here and there. Dont be keyboard warrior like Mike. Ask engineers who know better.

I read the news about YTL cancel contract to Pestech, the same company who awarded the KLIA aero train, I suspect pestech did not able to deliver on time for some of the electrical work

Pestech group in the news for liquidity problems. And the aero train project terms are they front the cost first

Gemas is the interchange station to East Coast rail route. ECRL will be the next game changer, bypassing Gemas.

Yes. This route splitting at Gemas is basically colonial era.

ipoh-padang besar project with longer rail only took 5 or 6 years. biggrin.gif

so slow. by right should be faster because experience with former projects.
