It is a weekly chore to iron my formal shirt.

I moved from a dry traditional dry type iron to a steam iron as shown in pic below.

The new iron is better than the old since it’s hotter and lighter but I feel it’s still a chore.

How’s your experience with those modern iron that looks nothing like traditional iron? Are those suitable for formal long sleeve shirt? Any good recommendations that can really save time and effort?

Unker also iron clothes every week. Your philip iron consider good.
Those standing steam iron tipu one. Won't go straight
Next time buy wrinkle free shirt. Easy to iron

Just treat this as exercise instead of chore

Another tip is when dry clothes, flip it first and stretch it along the hanging line, clip it straight with hanger pegs
When dry, will have lesser wrinkles

Light==more passes, or more effort pressing down.

I use an industrial gravity iron from Silver Star. It's not for everyone. Heavy AF. And you need some place to hang the water reservoir, hence the 'gravity' in the name.

Yes. It really saves time and effort.

You may not feel it if you are ironing your own cloths. If you have a family, it helps a lot.

I used to iron my work shirts, with the ironing spray some more. But my shirt will always turns up crumpled anyways since i ride to work, i got myself the super non iron shirts from uniqlo. May not look sharp, but may not look too messy either.

Interesting. Have you tried it? The reviews don't seem convincing.

I never knew this existed also until i saw tech reviewer showed one last week.

I also have doubts about it. But it kind of makes sense that if you can steam clothes in an enclosed area, it should remove crease the same way as regular steaming does. Also notice that in the tech video, the guy attached clip on weights on the bottom of the shirt and sleeves. That makes a lot more sense how this works. Because when we steam shirts, we have to pull on it a little to get the extra crease out.

I doubt TEFAL made such as thing as the tech reviewer said. A lot of china brands including the one i showed. But it is interesting no doubt, as a put in and let it do its thing concept goes.
