My WhatsApp Google drive backup when I restore crashes

But I have the backup on my PC

How can I restore the backup by bypassing Google drive backup

Any shop provide such service for my phone ?

My backup was from the Whatsapp folder to PC

The Google drive backup seems corrupted as when I restore halfway it crashes ..hence I need to restore manual backup

delete the current google drive backup.

upload the pc back up to google drive

perform data restoration again in whatsapp

WA is very lousy.. still need to backup, then restore.

Because whatsapp store all data locally, telegram is not

If the Google Drive backup is corrupted, no way to restore it. However, the local backup may still be good. It is located at the Android > media > com.whatsapp folder. Use a file manager to browse the folder.

whenever i format phone or change phone, the restore took so many hours.

And I encountered the same as what the TS encountered, it corrupted halfway and can't get full restoration. Tried many ways and have no solution at all. At last, I gave up to all messages and history and started with clean and empty account.

It is not due to remote backup file issue, it is due to database.

I encountered the same issue before. Even restoration from local backup file is still the same.

The restoration corrupted at certain percentage, say 51%... then it stopped and corrupted the whole.

My current whatsapp is from 2013, already change few device (iirc is 4), only one time missing few days chat, other time no any missing chat
Even call log still got from 2016, all i using local database file restore, never use g drive, after copy local database file less that 3 mins settle restore

You never backup to g drive?

I just backup to 'refresh' g drive avoid suddenly deactivate that service
So once per month or 2 month by manual tap
Because it keep stuck uploading after over 70, 80% even on my 300mbps unifi

When i change device, whatsapp auto detect local file is never that g drive instant restore without download

how about if your device suddenly kong and you have no way to get your recent local file, then you have to restore from G drive and you restore from old file and the messages after that hilang liao
