hi, i just got iphone 13 pro max. mostly people recommended 20w charger but i feel it charge so slow. i want fast charge meanwhile it doesn't have the battery or shorten battery life. did anyone tested before with 30w/35w charger change iphone? is 30w/35w charger recommended for charge my iphone 13 pro max? i check on apple malaysia website it said it's compatible with my iphone 13 pro max but i worry 30w/35w harm or shorter my iphone battery life.

electronic device is how many watts it will draw, not how many watt a charger push to device

you using 100W charger, iphone 13 pro max still draws 20W
some report claimed might go up to 23-27W
but it wont be 0-100% consistently draw 23-27W

heat is battery enemy, for sure drawing 5-10W generate less heat, so the battery degrade slower

i see. so that's meaning that

1) if i use 30w/35w, maybe my iphone 13 pro max just draw 20w only.
2) higher watt charger, battery will get more heat so battery degrade slower
3) so 20w it's safer and prolong iphone battery health

am i right?

He's saying even if you use 10000W charger, the phone will only draw 20W. So no hatm but no point paying more for something you dun use, unless you plan to charge a Mcbook on it sometimes.

charge ip14pm, ipad pro, AWU & mbp 14

the communication between the charger and phone would limit the charging speed to the maximum that the phone allow. doesnt matter what the charging capability of the charger is

just get a charger based on your charging requirement; whether it's single phone, multiple phones or phone with a laptop/tablet

Just use the recommend 20w chargers for your phone...

Don't waste $$$ for higher one...

having a magsafe powerbank is a must ...

Hi i bought ugreen 100W Gan charger however im not able to use it while charging, the electric leak will shock my hands, painful. unusable. Does it happen to you too?

my phone model is iphone 13 pro max

im using ip14pm & ip12pm + 100w & 200w gan

I been using 20w charger on my iphone 13 the past 1.5 years.

Its quite fast not even 1 hour already fully charged. Possibly 40 mintues to fully charge from really low level.

But I do feel the battery kinda degrade faster though.

Impossible to be less than 1 hour.

Anyway, 20w and 30w charger seriously make no difference in terms of charging time.

I would use 20w to preserve the battery health as much as possible.
