I was planning to go to TM point to terminate my fibre service and talked to a Unifi staff via live chat regarding which branch I can go to do the process so that I can avoid the 30 days notice BS and return the equipment. Then, she told me the following:

1. No need to return any equipment anymore after contract ended.
2. Termination will be effective within 30 days. (So, no more 30-days notice)

Are the policies changed that are now friendlier to their customer?
Just want to verify so that there is no misinformation from the customer service (it happens sometimes) and I have to go through more hustles if it happened.

I did my unifi fibre termination at Menara TM back in Dec 2022. At that point, I was no longer tied to a contract. I was with unifi for 2 years+.

The customer rep did my termination on the spot. She also told me no need to return any equipment (I brought the BTU along that day). Then she asked for my bank account with a screenshot proof of my name and bank account number in a bank statement, for refund of any unused days. Got some refund a few weeks later.

I just terminated mine like 6 months ago was asked the same thing.
My advise, please follow up with agent (via chat) to ensure termination is done accordingly.

Even the BTU need not return?

Last time their policy is can keep router and etc, but BTU die2 must return even if broken.

Just bring all equipment to tm point and ask them terminate it
No contract should be easier
