A rebranding of HBO GO, promising us a better streaming experience with Max. Now supports 4K & Dolby Atmos, as well as more content from Warner Bros. Discovery—including HBO, Discovery, HGTV, Cartoon Network, etc.

Max’s official pricing is available in Malaysia come Nov 19, 2024. Current HBO GO subscribers will get Max Standard by default.

Will stick with Netflix... not compelling enough to make the switch, and a lot of WB content is already back in Netflix anyway

I'm using HBO Max to stream few movie yesterday.

At the movie page, it shows Dolby Atmos, however, when i played using Denon X2700H, it only shows DD + Sur

This is so misleading

If your subscription is through Astro, then you get Standard Package, which only offer Full HD with Dolby 5.1. You need to subscribe with different account and choose Ultimate package to get 4K UHD with Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos

They're planning to do it. Not now though. Expect by Feb 2025 then can upgrade plan through My Astro portal.

If via Unifi TV, you’ll get 3 months free access to Max Ultimate Plan, then will be reverted to Standard. Just add RM10 to continue using Ultimate.

On MyUnifi portal, Unifi TV price is RM13.60 for Mobile (exclusive), RM24.90 for Standard (RM10 saved), and RM34.90 for Ultimate (RM18 saved).

You’ll get those special prices from Unifi as they’re being the official pay-TV provider for Max in Malaysia.

Is a annual plan for Max under Unifi ?

No. Just monthly plans.

You can just add-on Max to your Unifi bill though. Don’t have to be a Unifi TV subscriber.
