I guess the limit is on Apple phone. There is a limit to how big can transfer in one go. Try Google.

This is due to iphone's port speed is still on usb2.0, the transfer rate will be way slower.
If compared to wifi (wifi 6), theoretically wifi speed should be way faster.

Another alternative will be via iCloud assuming that your file size did not exceed the free tier of 5GB, sync over to iCloud and on your desktop/laptop, download from iCloud.

Just notice OP mentioned file is around 10GB, another alternative probably can consider google drive (15GB free tier)
