To start off in this business as a REN (Real Estate Negotiator) you will need to undergo a 2 day NCC (Negotiators Certification Course)
This 2 day course conducted by MIEA (Malaysia Institute of Estate Agents) costs RM 636.
At the end of this course you will get (in a week or 2/3) a certificate stating that you have conducted this course.

With this NCC certificate (which is valid for one year) you can join any Real Estate Company that are looking for new recruits.

Almost all companies will charge you a joining or Admin fee.
The fee differs from company to company depending on what they have to offer.

Richland Properties charges RM 600 for which Richland will apply for your REN Tag & number from the Board of Estate Agents,Valuars and Appraisers (BOVEAA).
BOVEAA is the government body that regulates and oversees Real Estate Agents matters and issues your REN Tag and number.

When you get your REN Tag, you are authorized to conduct transactions.

for dev project no need REN

actually depends on whether you choosing NEW PROJECT or Subsales or rental..for start can try join some agency to get more sales approach experience and meanwhile do some studies before taking REN tag. REN normally are required for subsales or rental

Normally newbie starts with rental first. Means it's compulsory to get REN nowadays?
