There is a good and authentic Szechuan restaurant in Ipoh garden that I enjoy. It is opposite the rows of kopitime that are open at night. The chef and owners are from China. Prices are reasonableness. Ambience is typical Chinese kopitiam, nothing fancy but taste wise is good. A lot of china’s Chinese eat at that shop. I know how to go there but I forgot the name of the shop. LoL!

Do try their beef tummy Szechuan style, their fish(use Pak so gong), Szechuan fried lotus roots , and many more.

No worries. Do let me know if you like the food. Their ham Choy wan yue is good but the wan yue is always out of stock. Do call them before you go. They do not open daily.

One of the reasons I said they food is quite authentic Chinese Szechuan food is cos they use quite a lot of black vinegar in their cooking. Northern Chinese as a lot of black vinegar in their cooking. And they dip their food in vinegar as well like we do our food in soda sauce. You can all them to adjust the spiciness level.
Their fridge is full of Tsingtao beers in can. Goes very well with the spicy food. Bon apetito!
