Hi guys,

First post here... hope this is the right thread to post this.

Was wondering whether there's any way to turn off / enter sleep mode without sliding the on off switch? Found that my on off switch is getting loose from frequent use.

Hope some one can help. Using CFW3.71m33-1 on Slim

Cheers

Hi Lakum,

Thanks for replying. Installed the plug-in and followed the instructions in the readme file. Have also enabled the plug-in in the recovery menu. But nothing happens when i pressed the HOME button in the XMB screen. Did you manage to get this VSH to work?

Any other steps that i need to do? Not familiar with plug-ins btw, this is the first time using it.

if you follow the readme it should be fine
this i edit to make you more clear

Connect PSP to PC through USB
-Copy the content of MS_ROOT folder in the root of Memory Stick ( it's mean copy paste seplugins folder to your mspd ms0:\sepulgins )

Manual Installation (if other plugins are installed)
-Connect PSP to PC through USB
-Copy vshmenu.prx (of your language) file in SEPLUGINS folder ( it's mean copy paste seplugins folder to your mspd ms0:\sepulgins )
-Open VSH.txt file (if it's not present, create it!) and at the end of the file add this string: ms0:/seplugins/vshmenu.prx

Any way you have choosen, remember to activate plugin from Recovery Mode!( in the recovery menu choose plugin & enable vshmenu)

Make sure u did everything grefox said.

From the readme....
CODE
What's it?
It is an Alternative VSHMenų that has ALL same functions of the M33 VshMenų and other utilities such as the possibility to change the background color, to power off and to sleep the console, to activate and to disactivate M33 VshMenų from dashboard or to make screenshot of XMB!
Press HOME (by Default) in XMB to start the Alternative VshMenų!
Press CIRCLE (by Default) in Menų to close it.
Yes..it is HOME by default and u can change it later. I changed mine to L+HOME because when i watching a video or listening to mp3 then i wanna check the battery level by pressing HOME, the Altenative VSHMenu appears. That kind of distracting.

EDIT: Wait a sec...u're using 3.71m33-1 rite? The link i posted before is Alternative VSHMenų v3.5. Maybe it is for 8.30m33 and later cfw....i dont know.

So u could try the v3 here: Alternative VSHMenų v3.0.

Thanks for the replies guys...

i think Lakum's right, Alternative VSHMenų v3.5 only works for cfw3.8 m-33 and above. Tested v3 now and is working fine.

Btw, came across another homebrew called Quickest Exit also from the same author.. anyone using this and managed to get it work on cfw3.71 m-33?

Again thank for the quick responds guys.

Cheers

Is it this one?
QUOTE
What's it?
Quickest Exit is a very simple plugin to activate in GAME.
Its function is to replace the classical HOME menų (the menų that appear when you presses HOME during a game or homebrew) and to enable the quick exit from the game or homebrew.
So, if you enable the plugin, when you will press the HOME button during a game or homebrew, PSP will return to dashboard immediately, with a great time profit.
If you press L+HOME PSP will switch off.
Finally, if you presse R+HOME PSP will go in Standby.
I want to specify that there is NO security check after the pressure of HOME button, so PSP will return to Dashboard even if you press unintentionally the HOME button!
Finally, I want to specify that it is a plugin, so it can NOT damage your console in any way.
Erm...from what i understand, if we accidentally press HOME button, the game/homebrew will automatically exit. sweat.gif

How to check the battery level? If we have another plugin to check the battery level, its okay then. Dont know about this one....
