What are your thoughts on moving for a lower salary?

Say you have taken a new job with a salary of RM12.5k but you realise its simply and absolutely not a good fit and finds you questioning your sanity. Your previous salary was RM10k. The nature of work between the two jobs is pretty different and in different sub-industries.

You got another job offer but the pay is around RM11k, however the job is more aligned to your interest and closer to your previous job.

Will you consider making the change for a lower salary? Anything to be mindful about making such such a change?
