All braised menu..
How can you so certain there is no alcohol use?

porky/lard saje tau..
*
Alcohol is even easier to "detect"... that fragrance, I like.. haha
No need to taste also know...

Actually those braised menu, the sauce could possibly contain pork ham (curing meat). Why these dishes are expensive? Because they use lots of ingredients to make their base soup..... so when making sauce, they'll add a bit of these base soup into it......

When chef has to find alternatives to suit their customers' request, they'll know what to do... there are many ways to prepare good taste sauces.

Macam Japanese food, they'll have to get "halal" mirin sauce to cook.

Let me tell you . That issue isn't about food alone.

If you, as a guest, finds that your host served inappropriate foods to you, you can decline on the spot. Just eat or drink whatever you think is "safe". Drink air kotak ajer la..😂

I kena many times.... whole table also porky dishes...I makan sayur then waited for desserts only. 🤭

Please, vegeterian means vegeterian, no meat base. All plant base.

And only islam is practice differently here until cannot share same ultensil use to cook non halal. So sensitive.
Muslim from around the world dont have this problem, i once asked a pakistani pilot, simple, it was not mention in their quran he cannot eat from ultensil that was use to cook non halal food.
They can go bar order steaks which also serve alcohol and pork chop.

Sushi king too, had a tag informing certain dish contain alcohol and arent halal. Will they use seperate ultensil? Even in supermarket, the cart can be use in non halal section.
Only here it was practice differently. Same religion, multiple different practice around the world.

Exactly... I meat lover as well but during occasions where majority of the guests are vegetarians I ok je eat veges.

Really over reaction, blowing up an issue that doesn't really matter

Well... it doesn't matter to YOU, but it matters to some people, especially the cultish ones. Vegans will scream at you if you try to feed them meat, but never the other way around.

Some people just want to be angry.

Tbf this is what most ktards here dont get it bc bodoh nk mampus. U imagine u come to appreciation dinner for vendors where everyone eats expensive foods, which obv not halal btw, when it comes to u only cendawan celup tepung. Some more over the years u contributed a lot to the biz until got award some more and this is how u get treated. Its an insult and disrespect.

Regardless of R&R issue pun (which in ori post he never mention anything about race issue to begin with) thats not how u treat ur well long time standing vendor ma. U go see his page scroll a bit u will know who he is and what he has achieved not some malai guy baru keluar kampung.

What the event organiser did is utterly disrespectful and insulting. That I totally agree. In the first place, there are, many great halal Chinese restaurants in kl. The organiser could have well picked the right one given that we grew up in malaysia and know full well the culture and sensitivities of food. That is all I can agree.

Did the "victim" handle it correctly? It is debatable. He raised an issue against an mnc. That is correct. But what ensued showed his true character of self entitlement of a helang. He pointed out non stop of his rm5 million sales. That means a sale of just a bit over usd1 million. Or maybe just selling 2,000 or so laptops. It is no big deal. HP can lose this customer.

But if you read his fb, he made it sound like he is angry and wants to boycott HP. The point is his dad is extremely mature and probably the more astute businessman. HP called his dad who happens to be his boss and asked him to take down the post. Pretty sure a dad will never allow anyone to bully their son. So there might be another side of the story.

He failed to show in his initial post that organiser did order vegetarian for him. But again, even vegetarian at a non halal place is not the right place to serve such food. They could have ordered from a proper halal kitchen and sent to the venue.

Unfortunately, the immature and entitled boy wanted to show the world of his predicament. The ensuing racists taunts at his fb showed how he rather this incident becomes one of massive racial issue. He did not stop ppl from commenting all sorts of things including how Chinese (quite a lot of capable malays are actually at the top management of Hp Malaysia) has always wanted to create trouble for malay. He tries very hard to justify he is a tolerant person by telling how he was in Japan for 3 years.

All in all, if he is as tolerant as he is, he should shut the comment section of his very racist fb to prevent more propagation of racial hate. He is no better than those who commented on his fb.

I know...but he distributor means he sendiri pun profit from it mah.

Some more the appreciation dinner is free, he didn't have to pay for it except for the transport which he probably can even claim from HP.

Bende kecik pun nak buat hal

This is the toxic culture in these days.

No issue, go make an issue and viral about it in social media.
All these just because of the fucking vegetarian food?
