So was tuning into 988 radio this morning, the topic was food inflation and many whom called are from Ipoh saying the local Chinese food/noodle is beyond local affordability.

Is this due to too many KL ppl went to Ipoh nowadays, they push up the food prices there?

If you have ever bought pre-packed meal from any hypermarket, you will realize most of them not very appetizing.
The rice surely not nice, cold and hard. The meat/vege mostly also don't taste nice.

Eat occasionally maybe okay, but won't be your meal of choice daily.

So price hike most probably thanks to tourists from outside Ipoh, mostly from KL/Selangor, maybe some from PG....

I guess Ipoh and PG salary should be around same level

PG island seldom got noodle below RM5 nowadays. More and more starting at RM5.50-6.00 onwards, but the portion is tiny and not much ingredients compare to KL noodles.

In that case really pity Ipoh lah, no reason why any youngsters would even consider work in Ipoh, might as well just work in KL or go SG.

locals also don't know where to take you to cheap & nice priced meal coz there's simply no such
place available anymore. I guess it's all thanks to all those weekend holiday makers pushing the
prices up the ceiling. Willing buyer willing seller
