Can please post a pic of how you did the aluminium foil ? I'm trying to do the same but no noticeable change in performance. Thanks.
*
im not sure if it really works since i cant compare the speeds because of maxis being unstable in the past weeks

anyway this is the video link given by prasys http://www.metacafe.com/watch/720362/how_t...olic_reflector/

i made the foil looks 99% like it

yup

usually i get my peak speed after midnight to morning

afternoon onwards can be as slow as 20 - 50kb/s though

downloading popular game like Neverwinter Nights gives me good speed, single file 100-150kb/s

yesterday morning my line went crazy too, see screenshot

Crazy  shocking.gif  , u get constant DL speed ? I am using ZTE modem with power package (auto upgrade from 768Kbps to 3.6Mbps) at 17/2 , PJ. using utorrent is piss me off for sure. Maybe I should try bitcomet 0.90 like urs. Do u set anything to the bitcomet? using what anti virus ? firewall ? TOR ? DULGE?

My result on download speed is 1 - 200KBps , nah, I wont get constant 200KBps , mostly is 1-20 KBps , average 11KBps, 200KBps maybe u can get once a month and in a few seconds.  doh.gif
i do port forward since im using router, norton anti virus + norton internet security, using TOR

while im downloading multiple BT files at 100kb/s right now, my web browsing speed is extremely slow though

my modem is ZTE as well

Jus wanna ask, how was your connection last night btw 11:00pm till 1:00am? I logon at 9:00pm and the speed was poor. But all of a sudden, I could not log on and got error message from Maxis. Called to the centre and MAKE NOISE vmad.gif then finally they resolve to resetting my connection. Then the unexpecteded happened. The speed reaches more than 1.2MBps (really happy as it has proven that E220 has the capability not just manual figures) but the torrent didnot show much as I was on some 0:5 seed/peer torrent. Just wanna to know if this is a one time only event or maybe resetting the connection helps..... unsure.gif
*
is it ur 1st time to reach 1.2MBps as a POWER subscriber?

what was ur max speed before this?

i've noticed these problems many times and heres what i do

1) when i was browsing suddenly feel very slow, check and found out my network mode changed from HSDPA to EDGE

off and on the modem and i am back connected to HSDPA (sometimes takes a few times)

2) just now my torrent speed 50kb/s+, then i afk went to eat for like 20 minutes, when back my speed suddenly dropped to 3kb/s, (i was downloading the same file, and still connected to HSDPA)

i off and on the modem again, and now my speed is back to 100kb/s

its like unstable, u need to reset the connection

You'all are not the only one here... just imagine that those you're in this forum are those who can voice it out.... what about the thousands who are not into forums or doesn't know the existence of LYN....  hmm.gif

But the bottomline is that I think Maxis has increase their P2P blocking to a higher level... however last nite was shocking... I manage to do 180KBps for 2 hours (3am till 5am, according to the log) and then "Ka-put" it drops to 5KBps in matter of seconds... this confirmed prasys explaination on how "THEY" are handling the P2P connections (QoS) and stuff....
*
but u're subscribed to bolehvpn right, still drop to 5kb/s?

i subscribed yesterday and now my bitcomet max can go is 20kb/s (with vpn), tried utorrent and its even lower

something wrong with my settings or maxis?

anyone realize that in your online maxis self care portal, your account number is less 1 digit?

Welcome NAME
You have succesfully logged in Maxis Broadband My Account portal.
Your account number is xxxxxxxx (8 digits)

but in ur statement its 9 digits?

this month i felt lazy so i just copied paste the account number and paid through maybank online, after 10 days i check my maxis account the balance is still there, then i realize something is NOT RIGHT which is i transferred the funds for an INVALID account number even though payment is successful

is this true?

10. TERMS AND TERMINATION

10.1 The Agreement shall commence on the Service Commencement Date and continues for a period of eighteen (18) months ("Initial Term"). Upon the expiry of the Initial Term, the Agreement shall automatically extend for further eighteen (18) months term (each term called "Renewal Term") unless Maxis or the Customer gives at least one (1) months prior written notice to the other party of its intention not to renew the Agreement for the subsequent term.

http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/general/t...isbroadband.asp

so after 17 months and if i dont inform them that i dont want to continue the service i will automatically get another 18 months of nightmare?
