Hey peeps,

Me and my wife considering moving to either Mont Kiara or Seputeh or Taman Desa, wondering anyone stayed in condo in these area have good recommendations?

Budget within 900k-1.1m subject to various factors mainly conditions, furnishings etc.
Affordability: up to 3m

Size need to be at least 1600sqf or above.

We currently stayed in cyber, for almost 7 years lar. We like here a lot, but recently after mco, MEX highway became so so so jam until we couldn’t take it anymore. Daily 3-4 hours in car now, used to be like 40 mins to reach Jln Sultan Ismail office from home.

This year really need to make a change lar, since just welcome a baby boy last year, we need more time and space at home. Jam half an hour to office for me is fine, that’s why I am looking into these area.

Areas we like a lot: Tmn Desa, Mont Kiara
Areas we not sure: Seputeh, TTDI
Areas we try to avoid: Sentul, Kepong, Gombak, or KD that side, no particular reason, simply don’t really like it

You’ve got a good budget for either area. Just depends whether you want a local or international flavour. Then work backwards from there. More options to sieve through with MK and it will be an older unit so the amount of ID needed becomes an issue.

I do not live there but has visited it for a few times. You can try to search the post “ Kiaraville vs Tiffani”. There is a lot of information for you.

Go shortlist a few Condos and then airbnb each for few days (or a short term one month rent if you have budget). Best way that you can tell if you will like living there.

Taman Desa would have more locals and MK would have more foreigners. And then it’s nitty gritty details like are there food options that you like closeby.

For having baby point of view, taman desa might more suitable for u, for childcare/kindy/school... or mont kiara > all the way international school

Check out this condo.

https://www.iproperty.com.my/building/anjal...iara-pty_62199/

Family oriented, near to MK and Desa Parkcity and Dutamas for international offers, and near to Kepong for local flavours, and also have many choices for roads to use. Worth to book a visit with agents.

Just one question: Do you prefer to commute to work/social activities via car or public transportation?

Segambut/MK is a bit overrated tbh. When most of your neighbours are expats, the real decent families are staying in Seputeh and Kepong

Well MK has the added benefit of your home becoming a good investment (positive cash flow property though maybe not now) when you decide to upgrade.

I personally believe interim own stay properties need to be investment grade. How is Cyberjaya going for TS?
