I think all top footballers are not performing up to their standard. Kaka's form has dropped. same goes to ronaldinho.

Didn't watch Serie A that often nowadays. But the other day I think Roma was held to 4-4 draw at home. That is hell alot of goal to be conceded in that league that was supposedly to be really difficult to score against the defenders.

I agree its a myth but can't deny the most successful Italian teams are all based on great defence ie. catenaccio

not denying that Italian football is well-known for its defensive department, but the days of catenaccio had oledi long gone. nothing conclusive here but Serie A had scored more goals than EPL n La Liga for recent years.

I'm not against Serie A or anything but statistics sometime can be misleading. You see Italy won the WC last year is also based on great defence, that is why automatically ppl will presume the league is also defensive/boring.
Also the league boasts of stars such as Totti, Kaka, Nesta, Ibrahimovic etc. So its hardly boring.
The only drawback is the marketing of the league. It is way behind the marketing of EPL hence the declining of popularity.
As a conclusion, the only advantage I can see EPL held is the impressive marketing.
