Michelin or Conti.

Not so noisy. If you want better grip, can consider 195. But fuel consumption will be higher a bit.

Based on my price table here, these are your options
Name Tire Size Price(RM)
Viking CityTech CT6 185/60R15 191
Toyo Nano Energy NE03 185/60R15 198
Dunlop SP Sport J6 185/60R15 209
Continental ComfortContact 6 CC6 185/60R15 236
Continental UC6 185/60R15 (UC6) 245
Michelin Energy XM2+ 185/60R15 245
Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2 185/60R15 247

Best wet grip is XM2+, looking at the price difference it is not that big. So maybe worth a try ?

Personally with the latest tire test results in 2022 and want best value:performance ratio tires in local market, i would recommend Falken ZE310 which is available here.

Michelin is kinda overprice nowadays and the given performance is not top notch unless they updated to new model, if not i would prefer to spend the money else where

https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2022-Au...r-Tyre-Test.htm

If into wet related performance, even higher range primacy 4 tires also fair not better compare to Falken 310

Primacy 4 (More higher range compare to XM2+)
Wet Braking 10th +2.8 M 93.89%
Wet Handling 13th -1.9 Km/H 97.46%
Wet Circle 13th -0.54 m/s 91.99%
Straight Aqua 5th -1.8 Km/H 97.96%
Curved Aquaplaning 14th -0.7 m/sec2 85.57%

ZE310 (Almost all wet related category beats Michelin)
Wet Braking 3rd +0.6 M 98.62%
Wet Handling 8th -1.4 Km/H 98.13%
Wet Circle 3rd -0.13 m/s 98.07%
Straight Aqua 1st 100%
Curved Aquaplaning 5th -0.32 m/sec2 93.4%

What is the price range now ?

It's cheaper to change to 195 55 R15 .

Goodyear is value for money but the sound at high speed is obvious.

Bro, if possible dont simply change tires because it is cheap. Any changes will impact related to comfort, handling, fuel consumption & worse safety related if the vehicle got traction control or ABS which calculate the wheel spin speed during emergency.

A lot of tire shop wont tell you this, but a set of tires at least 40k~60k km average on the road. If want to sell and change other tires once your tire roll on the road consider used and 50% of the value is going to loss unless you sell it your own self. Besides that, going wider tires also sometime will increase the fuel consumption, if every 1km increase MYR0.01 fuel, your losing at least RM400~600 of extra fuel payment over the tire life span which is way over the savings when buying new tires.

Unless you knew the consequences then just go for it.

Just sharing my experience with ZE310 (although at different size of 185/55R16)

I actually got ZE310 previously based on the result on tyre reviews but when I am driving for real it is quite sketchy during the rain.

Suspect is due to the ZE310 locally that was made in Thailand are different from the European ZE310 that was made in turkey where tyre review was based

Would love to get hold of european ze310 and redo the test but there posibility it may not hold up to our weather here cry.gif

In this case I would just get Mich since it is proven to work well in our climate.

Btw i got group member using 225/55R17 & 225/60R17 on Subaru Xv/Forester got good feedback compare to previous OEM Continental MC5 tires. Better comfort and confidence driving it in the rain, if your been using UHP or performance tire in the past u might feel the drop in performance as ZE310 is still comfort base touring tires.

In the comparison list Primacy 4/ XM2+ all these are also normal touring tires, if want higher performance UHP range need upgrade to like Michelin PS4/PS5 or Falken FK510/520 tires.

Most likely I am the one who pushed the tired like mad hence it unable to handle it.

Surely better than stock Atlas tires but not enough for me based on the way I drive

On the plus side ZE310 is cheap vs other similar performing tires too.

I got mine directly from Stanford Tire at shah alam.

Hi, may i add another recommendation?

Toyo PROXES CR1 185/60R15 160

I'm using these tires on my '20 Bezza, upsize from the stock 175/60R15. Been using these tires since 2021 and I'm really satisfied with the dry and wet performance.
I'm also doing GRAB and the wear is quiet good. Though, don't push the tires too hard after a while in wet or you'll experience a slight drift in corners.

what do u think about the noise level?
most YouTube videos show this tire is quiet (got some special groove)
tried but can't notice any difference compared to old Goodyear Assurance
supposed new rubber should be quieter
