I had a similar issue with my bathroom window being way too revealing at night. I ended up going with a frosted window film, which was a game changer. It lets in lots of natural light during the day while keeping things private at night, no matter the light situation inside.

About the grill, I also had one that was giving me trouble with rust because of the shower moisture. I moved it outside and it made cleaning much easier. As for the shadows, adding an outdoor light did help a bit by softening the shadows, but what really sealed the deal for me was getting some new shower curtains.
