Same same Samsung S22 Ultra's ultrawide, zoom, 4k, 5000mah, 45W, 70 mins charging, screen, design. Only difference is 8 gen 2 & 200MP.

This year I might buy a CN set instead. 240W, 8K on all cameras including zoom & ultrawide.
*
Key is which version of 8 gen 2 we are getting. If made by TSMC and bundle with latest galaxy watch, then I would consider upgrading from S21 Ultra. Seriously reconfiguring a phone with so many apps that require authentication etc really a big chore.

anyone will upgrade from S21 ultra to S23 ultra? need some opinion is it worth to upgrade for the camera, battery and performance.
*
I am using S21 Ultra and thinking of upgrading to S23U too for the following reasons:

1. My S21U battery life getting crap, so either change battery or change to S23U
2. Better camera I am ok. Not a camera guy.
3. Better storage speed and snapdragon overclocked (but more heat). So really depends if made from TSMC or Samsung. Heard it is from Samsunug, not as good as TSMC.
4. S23U has the pen!
5. Tax deduction...

The only reason I don't want to change is the many apps I have that I need to install again and customize layouts etc. Some apps I hardly use, but the authentication will be troublesome like bank apps or those google/microsoft authentication apps. Also those overseas apps like bank apps from China etc. You can't find in Play store have to install from China app store.

So I will see what's the promotion. Now market supposed to be bad. If promotion is good I will pull the trigger.

Sorry guys, appreciate if you can help.

1. I read about codes available. So technically you can use birthday code (RM100) plus pre-event registration code (RM200) together to get rm300 discount?
2. If I trade my useless phone which I think is bloated screen (battery issue) but still can boot up, will I still get the RM600 trade in even though Samsung might not accept my phone in the end for trade in? Also for trade in need to include the default power charger?

I am thinking of trading in my S21 Ultra 256GB for RM1250... But question is can I only execute after Mar? ie after I get the phone and transfer everything over. The money only going to be credited after they get the phone...

So what's the final outcome? I also have one old honor v8, ipad3 (serial number) not recognized.

how if I added phone info (imei) to trade-in then after settle all payment I dont want to let go my current phone?
will they cancel the entire purchase and refund me? or they will ask me to add RM600 back to counter the instant addtional rebate given by Samsung due to trade in?
*
I just bought one using trade in and rm200 discount. I will wait for them to contact me then schedule for them to collect after phone arrives. Once the phone arrives I doubt there's anything they can do to you since if they add rm600 to your credit card you can raise a case. Or try pay using online transfer.

The joke is when I click on the link (email) to schedule a handover, I get to InstaCash page with error 404...

Hi, can I check with the gurus here since I can't find conclusive answers online. Thank you.

I have this 15W wireless triple charger from Samsung. https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-ac...ep-p6300tbegus/

If I were to buy this transparent case with magnetic ring, can I still charge wirelessly using the above charge pad?

Yes it can. The magnetic ring is just to attach the magnetic wireless charger to it.

Only thick casing or stand attached to the phone that causes a relatively longer distance from the charger pad will make the charging process not possible. For example, pop socket (but it can be removed).
*
Thank you for your reply. Because some online answers state the magnetic ring will interfere with the wireless charging. Some says no. Have you tried it yourself and will it affect the charging speed? I can't find a decent transparent case without the ring....

Don't take it if we do not want to pay RM249 for every claims...

Next month, Screen break, must pay RM249 during claims...

Next 2 months, speaker malfunction, must pay RM249 during claims...

Next 6 months, charging port rosak, must pay RM249 during claims...

Almost to 1 year usage, mobo fried, must pay RM249 during claims...
*
What you mean? I thought we have 1 year warranty? You mean within one year spoil take to claim must pay rm249?

Exynos2400 coming. buy this year or never. lol

I upgrade from s21U main reason is this. Tsmc 4nm chip really much better than Samsungs one. If next year s24U uses exynos then I don't know if will upgrade. Only shame is the migration which is a lot of work and my s21U still working perfectly fine.

trading in your s21U for s23U?
*
No, because I would need more than 3 days to do the transfer as I got too many apps that need authentication. I trade in my old Huawei P20 Pro and move the profile/apps to S21U which itself would be nightmare too. Later once everything done I might sell my s21U.

what price are you expecting for the s21U? i see Samsung offers around RM1350. got one s21u to let go also.
*
Not planning to let go until S23U no issues use for several months. Last thing I need is to find out I left something in the S21U or apps there etc. If Insta cash does come collect the old Huawei phone then this S21U most likely comes my spare phone. RM1350 is the one Samsung quoted, not that exciting to be honest. But if I eventually sell, RM1350 is acceptable too (better than less value after few years more).

On-line limited to 7,900 units... off-line limited to 14,000 units ...

*
Judging from the response and market condition, plus the fact those upgraded last year will most likely not upgrade, I doubt they can even sell 7900 units online.... let alone 14k units offline.

Let's see.

Me and family have about 10 Samsung over the years and generally change phone after 2 or 3 years. None have screen problem but 4 have motherboard problem after 2 years.
*
I will never forget the infamous Note 2. That batch has this memory chip issue on the MOBO. China Samsung under pressure actually changed all problematic ones even after warranty over, but no such luck in Malaysia. Basically becomes a brick... Took me a long while to get back to Samsung due to the fact it is the best non Chinese Android phone around. Samsung QA seriously has problem...

InstaCash just contacted me. They are ok with me contacting them after I get my phone and done with my transfer. Even if it is mid to late March.

Also they allow me to switch the trade in phone. S21U 256GB version, RM1150. Good deal for this phone or can I get a better deal outside? Huawei P20 Pro only rm100....
